I've been a member of spark people for a couple years but have never really taken weight loss seriously. I gained 10lbs back and softball season is finally over, which means I can dedicate this time to get back on track and make my weight loss a priority. I've been a member of spark people for a couple years but have never really taken weight loss seriously. I gained 10lbs back and softball season is finally over, which means I can dedicate this time to get back on track and make my weight loss a priority. You wouldn't believe how you can play softball just about every day (to the point of it becoming a 2nd job) and still not lose much weight. I've also been extra motivated by some of my fellow spark members who have lost over 100 lbs and in their own way. I'll document my weight-loss below which will hopefully keep me extra motivated to keep going throughout 2013.
*Updated 10/07/13 - I don't really use this site anymore because I love the MFP site and app so I spend most of my time there, but I try to update my page as often as possible. I also now run everyday and actually like it. I started by using the C25K app where I couldn't even jog for more than 30 seconds and now I can jog for 5 min straight with only a min rest in between. Much improvement. I run/walk for 30+ min almost every day, but will be starting Stronglifts at the end of the month, so I'll cut back running to 3x a week. Jogging and tracking what I eat has helped me lose a lot weight and inches in the last 2 months. So much that I'm at the point where I want to move forward focusing on developing muscles. I've seen the results you can get from Stronglifts and that is my goal for next year so why wait to start, right. Anyway, that is a little bit of an update from me. I wish you all who read this continued success in your weight-loss journeys. I'll post another updated pic sometime next week after I get my hair did, lol. If you're on MFP, feel free to hit me up.

I'm 30, from Long Island, NY and a billing rep for Canon USA and VW dealership. I'm also a full-time student. After spending the last 10+ years working to help my mother and co-raising my younger siblings, I've decided to make 2013 about me. It's way past time to do what's best for me which includes losing the weight that has held me back my entire life. Now is my time!!
I play for a lot of co-ed and women's tourni and league softball teams usually from mid-March through mid-Nov.(which is another reason to finally lose the weight). I love to read (fav authors: Janet Evanovich and Harlan Coben), watch yankee games and meet new people.
