My baby angel passed away 6/01/12 @ 15-1/2 years old. RIP angel baby & soar with the eagles.
Driveway up to our log cabin home
RIP, our grandson, Kyle (3/8/91-10/12/09)
I'VE GOT TO LOSE WEIGHT. I found out at the doctor that I have, indeed, lost 62# since 6/24/15. To tell you the truth I am elated. Going to have to stick with this low-carb diet and keep journaling on the food I've eaten. It does work! I've struggled with Asthma for 30+ years and now I've been put on Oxygen 24/7 permanently. What a bummer. I have also gone from having to use C-Pap machine to now using a BI-PAP machine at night to keep me from stopping breathing at night when I sleep. Anyway... I need to get back with SPARK PEOPLE in earnest and stick with it. Prob is that filling out your food diary/journal and such is so very, very SLOW...
Let me say right here after everything I've been through, I do feel blessed and lucky to be alive.
October 12, 2009 we lost our youngest grandson in his death of at age 18. He committed suicide in Oct, 2009 leaving no note, and believe me it has been devastating on the whole family.
Sometimes I feel so guilty just wondering about the would have's, could have's, & should have's with Kyle's death. I know that I did not do anything wrong, but the not knowing WHY and what could have been different is just killing me.
I need to treat myself like I do everyone else because I am just as good, if not better, and need to treat myself with dignity and respect accordingly.
I am going to get on the train again and we shall see. ALL ABOARD...
8/2014 My husband now has Diabetes Type 2 and previously had post-op Diabetes after open heart surgery in Feb 2010. Finally he realizes that weight does not come off easily, no matter what kind of diet you are on. I want to loose weight regardless of how small or slow the progress is, and will not be deterred or feel guilty when I take a step backwards.
I look for simple, easy and quick recipes because it is so hard for me to stand up any length of time. I also hate cleaning up afterwards. Getting lazy! I also need to plan out my grocery list every week, and need to stay up with SPARK PEOPLE, make sure I eat BEFORE going to the store & only buy what I need.
My other objective is to get my hubby of 39+ years on-board with me.
He doesn't like diets, and makes no bones about it, but I am not going to let this stop me....
I am going to be 70 years old in August, 2015. I live in S.E. Ohio with my hubby of 39 years (after moving from MD in 2005.) We love it here. Have 2 beautiful daughters & 5 grand-children. I miss them all...
We recently lost our grandson (18) to SUICIDE on 10/12/09. He was an outgoing person and no one ever saw this coming. RIP (Rest in paradise) my dear sweet Kyle (3/8/91 - 10/12/09.)
We also have 2 dogs, a Maltese (3) and a Yorkie Poo (2) who are a huge part of our family.
In 2009 and 2010 both Hubby and I have been in the hospital for major illnesses & we consider ourselves to be blessed & lucky to be alive.
I like working with computers, and most recently (2012) have become the Treasurer for a Genealogical Society. It's amazine what all you can find out about your families.

I sent out a generic email to all members of the 100 Plus Club as an announcement for the October Biggest Loser Challenge. It would have gone to your Spark Mail "in box" unless you have you settings so that you would not receive it. I'm not sure where else to tell you to look. If you wish to participate in the challenge, you can go to the main page for the100 Plus Club and click on the link for the Biggest Loser Challenge and sign up for the October Challenge. If you are not interested, then just disregard the email. Thank you for letting me know.
