I've struggled with weight all my life. It's not easy for me to lose weight and I love food so that's not a great combination. But I'm determined this time. I want to feel good about myself when I look in the mirror. I want to have the energy to play with my three kids and not be tired all the time.

Update: On August 1, 2011 I weighed in at my lowest 146 (a total loss of 44 lbs.) I kept working out and started training for a half marathon. A foot injury and some back problems ...

I want to feel good about myself when I look in the mirror. I want to have the energy to play with my three kids and not be tired all the time.

Update: On August 1, 2011 I weighed in at my lowest 146 (a total loss of 44 lbs.) I kept working out and started training for a half marathon. A foot injury and some back problems later, I had to take a long break and recover. I managed to stay between 147-150 the whole time, which I'm very proud of. I let a lot of my good habits slip during my down time, but I managed to reign it in enough to not lose everything for which I'd worked so hard.

So here it is April and I am back on the workout wagon. Starting slow this time so as not to re-injure anything. I'm doing intervals (walking/jogging) three days a week for 1.5 - 3 miles for now. Getting back to the gym for some weight lifting and the occassional swim. That's my plan for now.

My long term goal is to get back on the training track so I can finally do a half marathon. I'm aiming for something in Nov. or Dec, but we'll see.

My Goals:
My original goal when I started SP was to lose 40 pounds by Jan 1, 2011. I made it to 35. So I adjusted my goal. I'd like to lose 14 more pounds (a total of 51) by May (my 40th birthday).

-Eat healthier
-Count Calories/Fat
-Exercise
* Spin classes twice/wk
* Zumba 2-3 times/wk
* Lift weights
* Start C25K program
