Hi everyone! I started using SparkPeople in October 2009. I found it after I had been using a fee for service diet/exercise plan page. I really hadn't liked their billing methods (i.e. right after your trial period, they charge you for 6 months of the service) so I started looking for a free alternative. Who knew Spark would be better?

My Goals:
2011 goals:

1) Finish out the last 15-20 lbs to get to my goal weight since starting SP in October 2009.

2) Use my food tracker consistently enough that I can go "tracking free" one day per week and not go over my calories

3) Complete Chalean Extreme! (I need more strength training!)

4) Restart on the C25K program (Week 1 complete - 5/5/11)

5) Run in a real 5K - with other people and not just on the treadmill or around the neighborhood

6) Run the 10K distance before 2012!

My Program:
1) Food tracking, food tracking, and more food tracking!

2) Continue to build up my cardio and exercise capability

3) Consistently exercise at least 5 times per week

4) Sticking to 1600 calories per day.

5) Go tracker free one day during week and stick to calories.

6) Reading books related to health and wellness (currently rereading Secrets of a Former Fat Girl by Lisa Delaney)

Personal Information:
About me: My name is Keren, I'm 29 years old. I was never super skinny but I spent most of my childhood at a healthy active weight. During high school and college, I stayed in shape by fencing.

Then, I started law school and I put on a lot of weight...and continued the trend at my job.

I quit smoking in September 2009 and decided to put the same time and effort into living a healthy lifestyle and getting in shape that I had put into my schooling and job - because I know I'm worth it!

On my Sparkpeople journey, I have lost about 35-40 lbs and am hoping to get to my goal weight in 2011!

Other Information:
Sharing my food and fitness trackers cause upping my accountability is key!

Getting back into running - restarting C25K week of May 5, 2011.
