Swedish Italian: No wonder I love food!

As a child I ate Swedish and Italian cuisine: Swedish Christmas cookies and pastries and Homemade Raviolis and Garlic Bread. My mother's idea of love? Scrambled eggs cooked in butter with a pool of butter on top! (My kids think I made this up, but I really didn't) Yet now I am older and wiser, I hope, and I want to eat foods good for my body and mind. This is a great site for being encouraged!

My Goals:

My Program:
 For me, I am creating a program that will get results that will encourage more endurance to reach my goal. I want to combine all aspects of losing weight in the most CREATIVE way possible: physically, mentally, spiritually. Each day may change what I do to be successful, but I love learning! I have prayed for this opportunity for a long time.

Personal Information:
I just became a Grandmother and now I know what other Grandmas have been talking about.

I currently have a 3 year old Australian Shepherd female, Contessa, we adopted January 1st. Great breed! We have had a Standard Schauzer; an Irish Setter, and a big Airedale (90+ lbs) . I love dogs and would have a cat if my family wasn't allergic. :( I love the outdoors and the changes of the seasons in northern Minnesota. And yes, the snow...but don't tell anyone that! ;)
We live by beautiful, ever changing Lake Superior.

Other Information:
 Anything else you would like to tell people. Could include things like your favorite books or movies, a quote, anything.

I love my devotional time in the morning with my favorite book, the Bible.

Hi Carly! I have missed you and hope you are doing well! I burned out for awhile but work has slowed and hopefully now that my son is doing strength training to get his "back back" I will have more time to breath!!

How are you doing with school back in swing and the wonderful Fall weather slowy approaching (at least SLOOOWLY here in So CA)! We will need to go to the house in the mountains to get relief!! How are you holding up to the plans you have made on SP? Mine are returning although I have not gained. A Blessing for sure. I give God glory for the trials of our nation...we are watching to see HIS will in all of this! May HE Bless you with JOY! Jerri emoticon

Just wanted to check in with you, hope everything is ok. Maybe you are on a fantastic vacation? Buddy seems to be doing better so hopefully with the end of the heat wave and heading in to Fall he will continue to get better. Give me a shout when you get a chance, I miss you!

Hi Carly! Just checking in to see how you are doing. I had a call from my trainer friend this AM about our border collie he has. He will have her in the state fair the end of the month and I may take a day off work to go see her. Buddy seems to be doing a little better and the kittens are getting more adventurous everyday. Now my husband is talking about getting a pig! At least it will only be here temporarily til he gets fat enough to go in the freezer, HA ha.
