Fighting metastatic breast cancer

I have been a spark member for over a year but have not done much lately. I need to start taking baby steps to get more healthy while I continue on 3 times monthly chemo for metastatic breast cancer. I find it too easy these days to stay home and do nothing since I am no longer working. I need to make some positive changes so that I can be the best wife and mom possible to my family in any time I have left to live. (I'm hoping that I still have several years to live)

My Goals:
To exercise 5-6 days a week even if it is only 15 minutes a day.

I will make myself get out of the house at least every day unless I am truly not feeling well.

I will blog at least two times a week unless I can do more.

My Program:
I will start out small by drinking 8 glasses of water/day consistently and by getting in as many cardio minutes per week as possible. As I get further along I would like to add to my program.

Personal Information:
I have a husband and two college age children that I love very much.

Thank you for the comment on my blog about the Navelbine; that is good to know! Especially from someone else who has had that same treatment.

I've missed you on Let's Just Talk! I just wondered how you were feeling and if there was anything I could do? Are you having a tough time with the chemo? Or is it something else? Anyway, please join us when you can! We miss you!

My little ones actually use smaller weights and do exactly what I do. It's quite entertaining! emoticon Thanks for the vote of confidence. I really need it to maintain what I need to do to lose this weight!

Thank you so much for the goodie! and the reminder to take care of myself. I think I am still in shock and it still seems surreal. I'm not eating right and finally last night slept. You're right if I don't rake care of myself, I'll get a flare up of RA and then end up in bed. I hope that you're ear infection clears up soon. You don't need that on top of chemo. I have been thinking of you a lot lately wondering how you were doing. I'm sorry I haven't kept in touch. You are so sweet to reach out! with all you have on your plate. That just shows how thoughtful and kind you are.
Again thanks and God Bless!
Your sister in Christ,
Amy emoticon emoticon emoticon
