After long years of inner work, my insides are all shiny now.
So, I rested a bit, and now I'm starting the next thing: dreaming up and creating the rest of my life.
And I've just realized something wonderful.
All this time, the fat has been saving up all the energy I haven't been using and now it is fulfilling its purpose: returning that energy to me. It will fuel all the changes I've begun, and many more to come.
Ain't that something?
At 50, I will be healthier and more energetic.
I'll have to be, because I'll be following my joy (whatever that turns out to be)!
Using the Nutrition Tracker and learning, every day, how I can make choices that work for me.
Apple cider vinegar: 1 tablespoon in a glass of water, with a pinch of Stevia and a straw, twice a day.
Adding more veggies, fruit, organic foods.
Measuring my food and learning what a portion looks like.
Gonna learn how to cook. Then, I guess, I'll cook. Less prepacked foods.
Eating more mindfully. Really savoring the flavors, textures, aromas. Chewing instead of inhaling!
Exercise bike, 30 minutes in the morning. Starting at 3x a week and increasing as it becomes a solid habit.
Get plenty of sleep, including extra sleep as I adjust to new levels of activity.
Walking at the office. It breaks up the day - makes it seem shorter, wakes me up, brightens my mood and my mind.
Planning rewards to celebrate my achievements.
Getting lots of support and information on SparkPeople.
Rejoice and be grateful
Aurora is not my name. I simply like what it suggests: that first light of dawn, just before the new day begins. It suits my point of view.
Also, as a northern girl, I grew up with the aurora borealis: the ethereal and achingly beautiful lights in the dark northern night sky.
My friends call me Jan. If you've read this far, I hope you will consider yourself a friend.
