It is Time to Succeed
My name is Chris and I decided to make my goals public in an effort to hold myself accountable. I hope this will help my efforts. Update 11/25/11: Back and forth up and down that is the journey I have been on. The key for me has to be to remember this is a journey down the road to good health. Making the right decisions and dealing with the consequences when I make the wrong ones will eventually get me where I want to be and help to keep me there. STOP COMPARING ...

STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS - IT IS A SURE ROAD TO DISCOURAGEMENT. NO TWO PEOPLE ARE THE SAME - YOU CAN AND WILL SUCCEED. Update: I received an email that I was nominated as a Spark Motivator. What - Wow - Oh No. I think that describes my reaction. What are they thinking- how can I inspire others? Wow, I guess I really am making progress even if it doesn't always feel like it. Oh No- Well Chris now you have something to live up to. Get your butt in gear. Thanks everyone this may be just the kick I need to keep me going (slowly but surely) on the right weight loss path.

My Goals:
My starting weight was 326 pounds and 321 when I found Spark. My ultimate goal is to be at 163 pounds. I reward myself for each 10 pounds lost toward my ultimate goal. I will add more goals when I reach these.
My Program:
My program is to track what I eat and walk a minimum of 3 days a week and do strength training at least 2 days a week. I have never tried journaling before so I will also be trying to journal or blog on a regular basis.
Personal Information:
I am a 45 year old single Christian woman from Michigan. I am the proud Aunt of 10 kids, some with special needs. They are inspiring to me.
Other Information:
Reading is my favorite thing to do. I also enjoy old musicals like Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, any Elvis and TV shows like Bewitched, MASH and Daniel Boone. I am currently doing alot of walking and have started to enjoy it. My favorite exercise is swimming and I hope to get back to that soon.
