Hi My name is Audrey. I am a married mother of 2, and am hoping to make 2008 a serious year on weight loss for myself.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, 2008 was NOT as great as I could have made it, so here I am again January 1st, 2009, and I can guarantee that 2009 is MINE!! How am I going to do this???
1. Visiting SP regularly!!
2. I have joined a gym and made a commitment to use it OFTEN (at LEAST 3x a week, for an hour each time)
3. I am committed to tracking my meals and staying true.
What I have to work on:
1. Getting my daily water intake (that has always been a toughie for me)
2. Finding creative ways to work in more fruits and veggies. (I find the importance to do it for my kids, and I need to set an example)
Feel free to check in on me anytime and see how I am doing. I promise not to let you (or myself) down this time around.
THIS IS MY NOW!!!
I have a few different "albums" uploaded on my MP3 player, but while walking with it on one day, I actually listened to the words of this particular song, by Jordin Sparks, (winner of one of the American Idol Seasons)and I couldn't help but shed a tear, and then play it time after time after time, until I memorized at least the chorus of it.
I now use this as my "motto" and make sure I hear it at least once during each workout. It really is great inspiration (although not about exercise at all) and if you haven't heard it, you may want to. If so, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Here are the word to it that keep me reminded and moving forward.
"There was a time..
I packed my dreams away.
Living in a shell, hiding from myself...
There was a time, when I was so afraid..
I thought I'd reached the end, baby that was then.
but I am made of more, then my yesterdays."
"This is my NOW, and I am breathing in the moment.
As I look around, I cant believe the love I see.
My fears behind me, gone are the shadows and doubt.
That was then... this is MY NOW.
I had to decide,
was I gonna play it safe
or look somewhere deep inside
try to turn the tide
and find the strength to take that step of faith
and I have the courage like never before.
I've settled for less, but I'm ready for more, ready for more.
This is my NOW!!!
"THIS IS MY NOW!!!"
With the strength of these words, and knowing that I can do ALL things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me, I will continue to Live in my NOW!!
I have a list of goals to begin this year with, and no specific date to accomplish them, just to continue to focus on working on them. The majority of my goals are listed in my introduction, and again, they need to be focused on continuously for me. The ONLY goal I will put a date on is the one I have, hoping to lose 35 pounds by my 35th birthday (March 25th).
I am starting off by mainly tracking my food, and making a commitment to hit the gym a minimum of 3x a week for an hour each time. It helps that I have a neighbor attending the same gym with the same goal. We keep each other accountable.
I am a California gal, currently residing in Sunny San Diego.
I love people, love to scrapbook, and most importantly LOVE THE LORD and all he has done for me. I couldn't live without him or the wonderful family that he has provided to me.
