Well I'm back and I'm pregnant!

About 6 years ago I lost 40 lbs with SparkPeople, ran a 15k, did acro-yoga, and basically strutted around feeling like a hot to trot super fly version of myself.

Honestly, there were some problems with the weight loss (frenzied working out being one) that caused me to gain all the weight back over a few years. I tried again, on and off, without success. It seemed I couldn't figure out how I had "cracked the code" before. Eventually I gave up.

Then in November I found out I was pregnant, I started a new job, and I moved into a new apartment with my husband. Two months into the job my boss pushed me toward applying for a full-time position that would be a huge promotion. I should know if I got it in May (wow!)

I've come back to Sparkpeople because I want to reconnect to the values of a healthy lifestyle and a supportive community -- even the Spark Guy himself isn't on a weight loss plan, so why should I be? I don't even want to *think* about losing weight until baby is 1 year old!

Fitness Minutes: 12,492

My Goals:
- this is not about weight loss! Hide the scale for a year!
- drink a whole 72 oz nalgene of water every day
- get 10,000 steps 2x a week
- fruit in your breakfast, greens in your lunch & dinner


My Program:
I wear a fitbit (hit me up if you want a challenge!) and track my calories once a week in My Fitness Pal just to stay aware of my intake. During pregnancy I weigh myself weekly to see how rapid my weight gain is.



Personal Information:
I'm going to turn 31 two weeks before baby is due and this is my first child! My husband is wildly supportive (and works from home!) as is my workplace. I'm only taking 6 weeks (unpaid) leave but I hope that the routine of a workplace and the community of my coworkers will help balance the newness of having a wee tiny baby.
