Live deliberately.

On January 4, 2010 I decided I'd had enough. I was 50-65 lbs overweight from a healthy weight range, swinging by the fast food joint several times a week, and strangling myself with Diet Coke, a lifelong vice. Everything food has not been about food throughout my life. Food has always been replacement for something else, love, anger, pain, comfort. I used food to run away. I was 50-65 lbs overweight from a healthy weight range, swinging by the fast food joint several times a week, and strangling myself with Diet Coke, a lifelong vice. Everything food has not been about food throughout my life. Food has always been replacement for something else, love, anger, pain, comfort. I used food to run away. Since that day, I've tried to make every day since about new growth, different choices, and a healthier, balanced, simple life.

Aug 2012 Update:
I've lost about half of that initial weight and been on a plateau for about 2 years now! Ready to turn it up a notch! I'd like to start running some races this coming year, lose 25 lbs, and keep up awesome plant foods! :)

My ultimate goals are:

To weigh between 130-160 lbs, not quite sure where my body is best yet.

To run a marathon.

To wear a two piece swimsuit with confidence.

To maintain a healthy weight to have a breast reduction.

To do yoga regularly.

To be kind to myself.

To eat a whole foods, plants based diet.

To never use food as an emotional excuse again.

To lead a simple, authentic, meaningful life.

Hey there! How's life? Haven't heard from you in awhile!!!! Things are starting to get more normal in my universe so thats good! I had a lot of trouble sticking to anything while my grandma was in the hospital and while I thought it was only 6 pounds I gained back, it was actually like 8 (or more!) but I am within 1.6 pounds of my lowest weight right now and its just a hop skip and a jump to get rid of that. Hopefully I can breeze through the next 5 then too!

How is your family? All staying healthy and well? Have you done anything exciting lately?
