Just a fat, crippled up old granny who would like to get less fat and less crippled up, and who just LOVES to visit. I have lots of advice to offer, and appreciate any that comes my way. Anyone in the Sylva area interested in meeting, give me a holler.
Right now my goals are to get my blood sugar under control and lose a few pounds.........say 100 or so! I burned my feet badly last summer, so I'm still healing from that. Healing requires lots of protein, which unfortunately adds LOTS of calories.
Right now about all I can do is watch my diet, so I'm making a real effort to educate myself about healthy eating. I've taken all the diabetes education classes, but it's AMAZING what they DON'T teach you. What I've learned so far is that I have a helluva lot to learn!
My mundane name is Frankie, and I was born (this time) July 4, 1943, making me somewhere between 16 and 250, depending on how I feel when I wake up. I am originally from Columbus, GA, and was an "Army brat", so I've been lots of places, including 2 1/2 years in Germany where I had the opportunity to tour much of free Europe in the mid 50s. I was a health care professional for 42 years, and have also taught ball-room dancing........social, not competition. I was a foster parent for many years, and am a mother and grandmother, as well as being named an Elder in the Family and the tribe. I currently live in Sylva, NC, a little town not too far from Asheville.
My favoorite author is Louis L'Amour, my favorite books, his Sackett series. My favorite quote.........."If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT!"

I've been here for 6 weeks now and met 1 goal already, lost 12.5 pounds!
Food- and fitness-trackers here in SP are just great and both seem to be essential for me! *cause I live here in Finland and we use metric-system, it took quite a lot time&effort first to add all my favorites in grams&desilitres, but now it's really easy and fast to use.
I'm working in a gym(meaning it's my job) and if you need any help,info or just feeling to chat with another wiccan, please feel free to send me some spark mail!
Start with little steps,drink more water,try to take long morning-/evening walks DAILY and watch your portion sizes. That's a good start.
Mabon is coming soon, need to plan healthy fiesta-food...hmmm.
But anyway, here I am and ALWAYS happy to meet new pagans!
