I am 27 years old... I started SP in February of 2007 to prepare for my wedding. I lost 10-15 pounds for it and have not stopped there. Since starting SP I have lost over 40 pounds. I've found that it actually gets a little easier once you start losing weight. My body has begun to crave good workouts and stopped craving the really bad, high calorie junk food. I've noticed over the past two years that my husband and I don't keep a lot of junk food in the house and (although his goals are to gain muscle and pounds) we are great motivators for eachother when it comes to going to the gym. I know I couldn't do this without him. My ultimate goal has always been to get back down to 130 pounds (the weight I was at when I met my husband)... I can't believe I'm less than 10 pounds away!!! With that in mind, I'm not 100% sure I want to stop there, though! I feel so much healthier now than I have in the past 5 years and have realized that life is too short, and even shorter, if you don't take care of yourself.

My Goals:
I am so close to my ultimate goal. I have learned that if I take baby steps it is easier for me to get where I want to go. So, instead of having my weight tracker take me from 175lbs to 130lbs, every month I set it to lose 5 pounds that month... and switch it every month. I've found great success with this because I will push myself harder when I get closer to my mini goal than I will if I'm half way to my big goal.
My Program:
Spark People New YOU Bootcamp Info: Starting Weight in February 2007: 180lbs. Starting Weight for Bootcamp (January 2, 2008): 140lbs. My goal is to lose 5 pounds a month on the bootcamp program... I think the program will offer a lot of motivation and dedication and I can't wait to see the results! I have posted photos of my progress since starting Spark People and will post more throughout my bootcamp experience! Good luck to those participating!
