My Mind. My Body. My Life.

Hello. My name is Shelby and I am eighteen years old. I'm a full-time college student looking to go into the medical field and as such eat a lot of fast food and sweets and the only exercise I get is walking class to class. Today, that changes! My fiance has invited me to be his date to the Marine Corps Ball in November. It will be the first time he see's me since early July. When he does, I want his jaw to drop. I want my abs to be as defined as his and when he goes on his 8:00am jog I don't ...

My Goals:
- to be able to run with Eric and keep up
- to prove it to everyone who ever said you couldn’t do it
- to hate putting on clothes because you look better naked
- to show that “boy” push-ups aren’t JUST for boys
- ‘cause I want beauty, brains, and brawn
- because what do you have to lose, besides fat?
- for the self confidence I’ve always lacked
- ‘cause this is my last time doing it for the first time
- ‘cause zombies won’t wait for you to catch your breath
- to crave healthy food instead of fast food
- so that when I run I don’t feel like crying anymore
- so when you pick up something heavy, you don’t need to ask the boys for help
- because a year from now, I’m going to be thankful I didn’t quit
-to be surprised at what you can achieve when you push your limits

Welcome to SparkPeople! (I thought you could use an official welcome on your page) I absolutely love the goals you have set for yourself. Having a boyfriend in the military has been a wake-up call for me as well because I don't just want to sit and watch him do all the hard work! Let's get out there and show those boys what we can do (and that girls can be just as strong).
