I am active, and I thought that my problem was that my body likes to hold on to weight--but that's the easy excuse. I'll get to the crux of the mystery in a minute. It seems as if I've gained the mysterious two to five pounds every year for the last four years. Well, I'm done with this. And not only that, but through Spark People I've discovered the big mystery behind this slow and creeping weight gain: I haven't been eating enough. With the gaining of a couple of pounds here, a couple there, I've panicked and have increased exercise while drastically cutting my calories. This has put me in starvation mode, so that basically I messed up my metabolism. In addition, and to complicate things, I had no idea about portions. Believe me, it's as simple as reading the back of the packages, but somehow, many of us either forget to do this, or conveniently choose not to do it. Nutrition is truly an education and SparkPeople has helped me so much in terms of nutritional information, portion control, sufficient calorie intake, and motivation. Now, it is so on! I'm ready to get back to a weight that is more "me." Fight on!

My Goals:
I want to get back to where I was before I got pregnant. I need to make myself a priority again and be as healthy as possible for myself and for my family.

My Program:
SUN - 1450 - rest OR 60 min Run (1600) OR 90 min Run (1800) *preferable
MON - 1600 - runnning (between 60 - 90 minutes) OR power walk
TUE - 1900 - 60 minutes of step class that includes 60 minutes strength training
WED - 1450 - rest
THUR - 1600 - Step/Lift class ( 60 minutes) OR power walk
FRI - 1900 - 5k walk/run.
SAT - 1600 - yoga (60 minutes) OR power walk

Hi, I saw your comment on the forum, how do u manage 10 glasses of water while pregnant? I did it b4 but since the pregnancy, I can't even get 8 glasses in, maybe 5 to 6. i keep going to the loo all the time if i drink 8. lucky u.
