My Dad was Agnostic, but we always had Christmas presents on the day. Mum went to church, he didn't! I don't either! what do you do on Christmas day?
I do love to visit old churches though! I love the architecture and all that work that went into them! I visited one in France that was built on top of a Roman bath house. It was fascinating!
    Have a good holiday!

    Hi there,
My name is Ellen and I have just become a co-leader of the history group, so welcome to the team.
I live in East Hampshire UK near the south coast and we have lots of historical places of interest to go to round here. There is a Roman road about 2 miles from me. You would enjoy Portsmouth if you are interested in the 2nd world war. I think you may be by the books you are reading! LOL! Portsmouth has a D-Day museum and also the Royal marines Museum and I hope to do an article on those . I live just a few miles from Southwick House which is famous for its world war 2 history and also for its priory which is much much earlier. I could do something on that too! And what will probably interest you is Hambledon and the cricket ground which is famous as the home of cricket! Its just up the road from me and within walking distance about 2 miles, but the village is a bit further. i will go there one day and take some pics of the ground and local pub.
I hope you don't mind, but I have added you as a friend! Please visit my page and say hello! And add me too!
The last book you quoted sounds interesting, you will have to tell us more about it.
When I was younger i used to go to watch cricket, had a boyfriend who played for the local newspaper team and a cousin who played for Hampshire. My husband, Adrian used to play and is still very interested.
Would love to hear more about you!
