When I run, I'm ok with me, just the way I am.

My journey began Aug 06, I lost 25 lbs by Jan 07 and then my life changed drastically, for the good though :-)
I met the love of my life, we built a wonderful life together, had a daughter together and we are happily raising our sons and daughter together.
But as things got busier I let all my Spark habits slip and put back on the 25 lbs plus another 10 for good measure.

In Sept 12 I was going through some things at work and felt the desire to run away, so I figured I should take up running instead. I LOVE IT! I am still slow and haven't run very far, I've been struggling with shin splints.
But it kicked off the need to be healthy again.
My goal is to get to 150/size 10. When I get there I'll see if a weight of 140 (my previous weight in Jan 07) is realistic.
I'm making healthy changes for me, my husband and our children.

Can you please tell all of your lost pounds that I have no more room on my @$$ for them and they can kindly find another home to dwell in! If I gain one more pound, I may have a mental breakdown!!! Stupid prednisone!!! emoticon emoticon

Good job sticking with the exercise! I'm happy to hear that you did it! You are doing so darn good! You've been back on Spark for only FIVE weeks and you've lost FIFTEEN pounds! That is amazing! Keep up the good work and before you know it, the 160's will be history!

Hey! Thanks for checking in on me! Yep, today is Day 4 of "being good". I'm already down over 3 pounds, but I know it's just water weight being released as I switch from burning glucose to fat. It doesn't matter, though - those water pounds have to come off first, so it's a sign I'm heading in the right direction.

Work was very busy and stressful yesterday, and I could have easily snacked on chips and guac and chocolate and pretzels that are on the counter outside my office, but I didn't. I went and filled up on water instead - thank you :)

This morning, I made myself a kale/spinach/celery/berries/banana/peach smoothie. It was delicious and almost like a dessert!

You've been kicking butt! Keep it up!

Good Morning Ashleigh....I am drinking tons of water so hopefully this will help. I wish thre were more people in my area that we could actually get together for workouts as accountability is a negative of mine lol. When did you start your journey? emoticon
