I found SparkPeople 8/2006, I loved the tools and soaked up everything they had to offer, I lost 25 pounds and was at my goal weight!
As time went on, I got married, had 3 kids and put on 40 pounds!! I always came back to SP and tried to use the tools again, but finding time to record calories with a demanding job and 3 kids wasn't working anymore, I was determined I could do this on my own and got very depressed when I wasn't. I would obsess over calories, eat whole grain and clean eating (which is high in calories people!!), I would be starving, depressed and deprived and fail, every single time.
I watched my girlfriend seemingly melt away and she told me about AdvoCare, I didn't want to spend money and I insisted I could do it on my own, so I continued my cycle for another 8 months, ending up at my highest of 185. So in January my husband and I decided to try AdvoCare, we went all in for the 24 day challenge, and couldn't believe how good we felt! After just a few days I couldn't believe the energy I had, I was overjoyed when after the cleanse phase my pictures showed a dramatic difference. At the end of the challenge I had lost 7 pounds and 18 inches!! We decided to stay on the products and I'm continuing to lose weight, as of this morning I'm down to 169, and its not even been a full month!! These aren't magic beans, we are eating right, but I'm not stressing over my calories, I have control. I avoid white flour, fried foods, refined sugar, processed foods, I drink my water ever day, I take the AdvoCare products I like. And I'm losing weight, I feel like its a dream.

    Hey! I realize I never got back to you - read my blog from Oct 25 to get an idea about what our challenge is about - Ultra low carb 6.5 days a week, and then a treat night - not "cheat" - because it's required, not something to feel guilty about! The splurge in carbs actually causes a reaction in your body (insulin spike) to get your fat burning faster (because at ultra low carb for too long, the effect lessens and can actually be bad for you). I'm now down 8.2 lbs in 5 weeks (which is over 5% body weight), and of the 8.2 lbs, 5.7 of it is fat (based on my body-fat measuring scale, which isn't 100% accurate, but does give me a baseline). I feel great! I hope you're doing well, too!

    Hi! Thanks for checking in! Well, I started my new wellness challenge with my gym this past Sunday, which is great because I have a problem sometimes sticking to eating clean. I still have 3 pounds to go on that bet, too. So far, this week has gone really well, so I'm sure I'll meet that goal! i bet you're kicking butt, too! :)

    Can you please tell all of your lost pounds that I have no more room on my @$$ for them and they can kindly find another home to dwell in! If I gain one more pound, I may have a mental breakdown!!! Stupid prednisone!!! emoticon emoticon
