A little less Amy

I came to SparkPeople on August 20, 2012 weighing 253 lbs. For nine months, I was very devoted to tracking and exercising and lost roughly 50 lbs before I turned 40 last July. Since my birthday, I have been struggling and regained some weight.

April/May 2014: I am trying Jenny Craig for a couple of months. Work is crazy and I need an easy "grab and go" option.

I am from Alabama, have three daughters and work full time.

I came to sparkpeople because I am pre-diabetic and want to get healthier and reduce my blood sugar. For now, I have cut all bread, pasta, and sugar from my diet.

I struggle with cooking at home for myself, my husband and three picky kids.

Hey Amy,
I get the Eggo low fat Nutri-Grain waffles. One serving is two waffles, but I always have one waffle with 1.5 TBS of almond butter. I love the Fage Greek yogurt 0% fat, full of protein and I try not to use all the fruit they give you on the side to try to keep my sugar down. I am getting hungry just writing it down. LOL!

Happy Friday! Control is a tough issue for a lot of us. We can control some of what we do, but we can’t control everything! Keep pushing towards your goals. Even if you do not reach all of them, don’t give up! You can alter your goals or make new ones! Do your best to keep a positive and/or realistic attitude. You are AMAZING and WONDERFUL!

Happy Saturday,
This is my weekend to work. I work every other week. I'm a semi retired respiratory therapist. I value the TIME I have off more than any financial gain I would have working more hours.
It's beautiful here in frozen Minneapolis today. It's sunny and bright. We can have six long months of winter so it's important to get out when it's tolerable. lol

Enjoy the farmers market. I'm making mini quiches for next week- easy grab and go stuff. The TWO servings a meal thing is working well.
(Cheesecake is vegetarian- ROTFLMAO.) emoticon
