Ambers weight loss goal 280 to 160 pounds -120 pound weight loss journy-

Well, as a kid I was not able to move around much, I was diagnosed with a heart condition when I was 4 and when I would walk just a few feet my heart would race like I'de been running.
Now that I'm 18 and am on strong medicine I'm able to do a little more now. i think i was around 280 and now 270 in the span of 2 months? im like 5ft 9inch and I was to be healthy as i can be.
When i was a kid I loved watching sports and wanted to play so bad,
and what really screws me up is ...

When i was a kid I loved watching sports and wanted to play so bad,
and what really screws me up is when people say i'm not fat it makes me eat nervously. I sort of have a food addiction but I have it under control now. :) when I was a little kid food was hard to come by and i was taught not to waste food, and i guess that thought is still subconsciously there i've been trying to get into the habit of stopping when full. I also try doing 15 min of taebo and 10 min of winsor pilates a day. or every other day. where i live theres no gyms so i have to do workouts at home. but really, i dont eat much. Its just starchy pastas and such. :) I wanna be a size 10! thats like 14 dress sizes
( by the way i dont have kids i have sisters and joined that one page to help my sisters lose weight)

Thanks Amber. Hope to hear good news from you as you get healthier. I have CHF, and I know it is a little trickier to exercise with heart issues. Just keep aiming for a new low , and 120 lbs will disappear eventually.

I started out at 361, trying to walk to the mailbox. I lived in a trailer, and it was 1/4 mile round trip. I used to rest for 2 hours after I was done.. just lay on the couch till my heart slowed down. I have A-fib too. Now I walk 60-90 mins a day, and no shortness of breath. I get fluttering from my A-fib when I overdo it, but I keep pushing myself.

Set small goals, and as you smash them, it makes you feel successful, and the momentum builds. I think it is easier because you always have the reason ( health ) on your mind. I was constantly thinking, 320 is unhealthy, 300 is unhealthy.. now 220 isn't too bad..lol.

With 120 lbs to lose, you will have cheats etc, just get back on track immediately. It is more about repetitiveness, than perfection. If you miss a workout/walk, just make the next one.. dont skip the whole week, and restart on Monday. If you have Taco Bell late at night, just make sure breakfast is healthy.

140 lbs lost seems like a lot, but over 3 years, it is less than a lb a week. I don't think of it as any great accomplishment, other than my improved health. Just this last fall I gained 60 lbs back, and today I weigh the same as I did on Sept 29th, 2011. I have lost 60 since New Years to get back here, but it has been a lot of ups and downs. Never quit, just tweak it a bit.
