Hi...I am 51 years old and have been overweight most of my life. I have tried in the past to lose the weight but never made any real progress. Even went so far as to try one of the popular weight loss programs a few years back...but the cost was more depressing than anything. I have had hypertension for the past 15 years and developed osteoarthritis that has resulted in a total knee placement just last year. Since my daughter found this site a few days ago we have decided to take charge. We are making the necessary changes that will give us a better lifestyle and get us both to a healthier weight. I believe that with this program and the help of all of you....WE WILL DO IT!!!

My Goals:
My biggest goal....A healthy normal weight without all the bumps and rolls. Second...Get my knee in better shape so that I can ride a bike again. Third...Be able to buy new clothes that are stylish and at least two sizes smaller!!
My Program:
**I had complications after my knee surgery last year and that has made my recovery much slower and more difficult than others have experienced. I don't have good range of motion period so I have tried to pick exercises that will continue to improve that. Strengthening is one of the biggies at this point plus any weight loss will help tremendously. **Eating good healthy meals so that I am not munching in between because I think I need to. **Cut out the excessive caffeine. I can polish off a 2L of Pepsi every day in addtion to any pops that I drink while away from home. (NO wonder I can't sleep at night!) **Work on my sleep habits...not as much caffeine = better sleep I hope! **Focus on the Positive. I have the habit of seeing the bad in things and not looking for the good outcome.

Hi...my name is Anita from SW Ohio. I am 51 years old with 2 grown children and a beautiful red headed, blue eyed granddaughter that will be 2 in June. Until my surgery I worked as a Customer Service Manager at Walmart on 3rd shift. For now I am a stay-at-home "gramme" and watch Noggin all day...LOL!!
