In late Feburary of 2008 I started the 6 week body makeover wanting to lose weight, making health a priority. After separating from active duty military service several years ago, I now realize while I had the fitness part down I had never really ate a proper diet.

It it fun being an a co leader of the 6wbmo spark team. It is great seeing people transform into their goal bodies!!

The longer I stay on plan, the greater the results and the easier it becomes!! It is a great way of living...If you are not on the 6 week program and like to become more disciplined in eating and drinking, all to your health...then check it out!!!!!! You will not be sorry....

I am having fun and getting healthier at the same time. yahoo.

So, the key to being a healthy person, at least physically is this:
eat properly several small meals a day, eating the correct combinations of foods, drink plenty of water, strength training three times a week, cardio 5 days a week (do the strength training before cardio on the days they fall on the same day), AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE fast food, junk food, high caloric foods.

Basically, I need to treat myself well, physically, mentally, spiritually. I have learned this one thing! Life is about moderation and balance!! Like a well disciplined diet and exercise routine, get anything out of balance in life and you will end up like my beginning Pillsbury dough body picture taken on March 8, 2008...Now, it that what you really want?

I have also learned to live healthy, there needs to be consistency...what I do today I need to do next week, next month, and next year... I can not expect my body to be physically where I want it unless I commit to eating right and exercising properly for life...it is a lifetime commitment!!

yeah, but I am ready for this change and challenge. I have found my mojo! Have you found yours? If not, you better do it soon for things have a way of sneaking up on us and before we know it we are big, out of shape, and unhappy with ourselves. Then we have to work extra hard to resetting ourselves to where we want to be! So, why even go there? Just stay healthy!!

So...now i have decided to run my first Marathon in Jan 2009. Should be a challenge!! While I will not be following 100% the 6wbmo program, I will be living lean while still wanting to drop another 25lbs to get to my marathon running weight!!

I considered it a real privilege to be a co-leader for the 6wbmo team for several months, from April 2008 to Sept 2008, but training for a marathon and an already busy schedule, I have decided to step down as a co-leader, but remain part of the team.

Under 4 hours would be supreme! But I will be happy under 5 hours. DONE!!!! 4:40:31

The Ragnar Relay, Del Sol. Runner # 11, 8.5 miles, 6.4 and 3 miles. Shooting for an average pace of 9 minute, 30 second miles.
