Hi all, and welcome to my SparkPage. This is my new online spot to chart my weight loss progress, and to hopefully meet like minded individuals that have either met and are maintaining, or are in the pursuit of similar, life-changing weight loss goals. Good luck to everybody! Yea us! :-)

Fitness Minutes: 3,265

My Goals:
I'm on this weight loss journey because I want to have a healthy and active life. I'm 5'11" tall and have a large bone structure, so my goal is to get down to 175 pounds. I still will probably need to lose more once I get down to that weight, but I'll see when I get there.

My Program:
The FoodMover is my nutrition program of choice. I'm not going to call it a diet because to me dieting implies something temporary, and what I'm doing now is a positive lifestyle change. It's a great, convenient way to keep track of what and how much you're eating without counting calories. If you've never heard of it, check it out.
As for exercise, I'm an exercise video junky. I like the variety and convenience it provides me. I do have my big, clunky, gym equipment, but I'd rather do my sweatin' and tonin' to my videos. I'm also a big fan of walking, I'm up to two miles in 30 minutes now.

Other Information:
My sparkpeople start weight is 305, but I started my weight loss program two weeks prior and have lost 10 so far, down from 315 (no starvation, no gimmicks, no crazy nonsense). I've tried to lose weight countless times over the years, and have been successful to a certain point (275), but would always gain it back. This time, I'm going to lose all of it, I don't know why it feels different this time, but it is. Feel free to contact me if you ever need to talk or just need to vent your way through a pontential binge (Emotional Eaters know what I'm talking about.)
