I've been working for the last year on creating better healthier choices in my life. So far I have lost 25 lbs, quit smoking almost 8 months ago, and began working out in fitness classes, with a personal trainer, and at home, and in December I found SparkPeople.
I am starting to learn that the most important person I should be looking out for is myself. No one else can count on me if I don't take the time to take care of me. My husband is involved in this process too and has lost a significant amount of weight himself. I would be lost without his support. He doesn't even complain much about the changes I've made to the kind of food we eat now :)
SparkPeople has given me the tools I need to be successful. I am continuing my journey to my goal weight of 155 lbs and enjoying myself along the way.
Goal 1 was met, I lost 30 pounds between December 17, 2009 and April 23, 2010.
Goal 2 is now to lose 30 pounds between April 24, 2010 and my birthday, September 30, 2010.
-better definition in my calves
-increased core strength
-Increase my ability to maintain a moderate cardio pace
-make at least one new recipe per week.
I am going to weigh 155 lbs by December 25, 2011 and maintain that weight.
I am currently enrolled in Boot Camp Challenge class which meets two nights per week for an hour each night. In April I will be adding a Circuit Training Class on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for an hour per night. I will also be adding a Tai Chi class on Friday evenings.
