Hello everyone. My name is Jennifer and I am here to lose some weight. When I first started using SparkPeople I weighed in at 156lbs and I am 5'1" which didnt make for a very flattering body. I am determined to lose this weight and get down to 120lbs so that I can feel proud of my body again and not have to cringe every time I see myself in the mirror or when I look at pictures of myself. I also have a wedding coming up in June of this year so I am trying to shed as much weight as I can so I can look good on my wedding day and during our honeymoon! I have gastroparesis which means my stomach doesnt digest as fast as it should. You would think that would mean I wouldnt eat as much but I am still stuck in my ways from before my stomach started this condition. So I need to reform the way I eat and how much I eat to not only lose weight but also to help manage this condition. I know I can do it, and I can't wait until the day I reach that 120lbs!

My Goals:
My goal is to get down to 130lbs by March 1st so I can go wedding dress shopping without feeling self conscious. Then I would like to be down to 120lbs by June 11 for my wedding. After that I want to maintain a weight of 120-125lbs.


My Program:
I am doing the regular old spark people program. Try and get 8 cups of water in a day, stay in my calorie range and excercise, excercise, excercise!



Personal Information:
My name is Jennifer and I am from Ontario, Canada where I live with my wonderful fiancee and our three cats! I never had a weight problem until around age 18 when I started piling on the weight. Now at age 21 I am sick of it and just want to have a healthly body weight again.


Other Information:
I love music, movies, BOOOKS, and video games. I'm pretty much a huge she-nerd! Yep.

    Hey, sorry it's been so long since I've had a chance to reply! I hope to do a dress post soon! Maybe this afternoon!

    I haven't had a chance to buy a heart rate monitor yet. My fitness budget for the last couple months went to a couple badly needed sports bras, and now we're clamping down on money until the wedding. I'm still looking at Polar models, and if I have some extra cash I'll pick up the one I was looking at.

    Hi friend! I'll be posting my split pea soup on my food blog (leftoversforlunch.com) later this week. It was really good but I love split pea soup! I usually only make it once a year (after Easter) but should make it more often throughout the winter. It's pretty hardy! Super filling!

    Um, I find my recipes from all over - from reading other food blogs, Cooking Light, Eating Well, Allrecipes.com, or cookbooks that I have. I usually reference my source on the blog post unless it is something I think I totally just created out of my own crazy mind. I love cooking so it is really fun for me.
