Using the nutrition tracker to try to get my calories lower. Trying to eat more fruits and veggies. Exercise goal is 5 times a week for 45 to 60 minutes.
I am from Vermont and Ohio. I live in Lusaka, Zambia in southern Africa. I teach reading and English four times a week. I am married and we have 3 boys. I enjoy birding and reading as hobbies.

Thanks for commenting on my thread about the last straw -- I'm just beginning my journey, but I'm finding it helpful to vocalize and write about what really has motivated me to make some changes. I think I finally got to the point where I realized, I could wish and wish all I wanted, but until I changed what I was doing -- nothing else was going to change. Glad to be here at Sparkpeople!
