This isn't a diet, it is a healthy way of life. I had to get used to the fact that my new eating plan is forever. This adjustment involved some mental temper tantrums. Eventually, I have adjusted but it isn't always easy and it can be a real struggle.

For some reason, I thought that just losing weight would make my life the life I have always wanted. I thought all of my personal issues would just float away and life would be a fairytale. That is a pipe dream! I have to learn to love myself as I am at any weight first. Exercise will make me feel good and give me confidence but the major part of weight loss is mental. Getting into the nitty gritty emotional issues and changing my thoughts about myself is my biggest challenge.

You're doing awesome with your exercising and step count! I am so happy to hear that the PT has found a combination that is supporting you. I am rarely sore from my workouts either. It is amazing!

It has been a long and sometimes arduous journey. I KNOW that you get it! You've been through a lot yourself. You are a survivor. You have fought to maintain and regain ability.

Our circumstances may be a bit different. But, we are both survivors. And, it is sharing this journey with folks like yourself that make my life experiences all the more meaningful.

Thank you emoticon for being a fellow traveler. emoticon
