A Lifelong Lifestyle Commitment To Health

This isn't a diet, it is a healthy way of life. I had to get used to the fact that my new eating plan is forever. This adjustment involved some mental temper tantrums, I am embarrassed to tell you. Eventually, I have adjusted but it isn't always easy and it can be a real struggle.

This isn't a diet, it is a healthy way of life. I had to get used to the fact that my new eating plan is forever. This adjustment involved some mental temper tantrums, I am embarrassed to tell you. Eventually, I have adjusted but it isn't always easy and it can be a real struggle.

For some reason, I thought that just losing weight would make my life the life I have always wanted. I thought all of my personal issues would just float away and life would be a fairytale. That is a pipe dream! I have to learn to love myself as I am at any weight first. Exercise will make me feel good and give me confidence but the major part of weight loss is mental. Getting into the nitty gritty emotional issues and changing my thoughts about myself is my biggest challenge.

It is reassuring to read the blogs of successful Spark members and see that they had slip ups too and were still able to reach their goals. Mistakes and bumps in the road are all part of the journey. I have read several blogs by INDYGIRL, SLENDERELLA61 and RUTHIEBEAR and found that they all experienced slip ups and plateaus. Since all three lost 80 pounds or more, this gives me hope for being successful on my own journey and you can be successful too!

Thank you. I just got off the phone with my mom. She sounds fine. She has occasional internal bleeding but no real cause! It's frustrating. She saw the symptoms right away and went in. It's been over a year since this happened last. How's Razzle?

I support you one hundred percent,
One-hundred and ten, is what I actually meant.
I'm here for you, whenever you need,
Your expectations I hope to exceed.

Tomorrow is something, together we'll deal,
If pain follows us, together we'll heal.
The actual process may be quite slow,
Through this journey, together we'll grow.

In the end, the challenges we face,
We won't run away, instead we shall chase.
Whatever happens, I know you will win,
To the blue sky, point your proud chin.

Looks like I won't be able to exercise. I took a short walk on Saturday. Four days later I am still weak in the legs from it. It's indicative of statin myopathy. I guess I'll just have to accept myself as I am. Glenn
