If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you

Hi Spark Peeps! My name is April and I have lost more than 50 pounds utilizing the spark people resources. I have a few more to go.

My best advice is to use all the tools that spark people provides, and put as much effort into those tools as you can, and you will see results. I believe that if you want to change your body you need to do things differently. Be open to change. Change your mind, change your behaviors, and change your life. My best advice is to use all the tools that spark people provides, and put as much effort into those tools as you can, and you will see results. I believe that if you want to change your body you need to do things differently. Be open to change. Change your mind, change your behaviors, and change your life. Are you willing to do whatever it takes to have a healthy body and mind? If you truly want to change, you will need to step out of your comfort zone, and not just temporarily. You will need to embrace change and make those changes for life. Stop looking for a quick fix.

If you join teams here on spark people, you will get out of it as much as you put into it. Don't just click the button to join. Actually get involved in team challenges. In fact, make sure you join a team that has active challenges that actually will challenge you! And don't do it half *ssed. Give it 100% effort and you will see results. Be honest, do the work, and see results.

And this is my best advice: work on yourself from the inside out. Look inside yourself and figure out what is going on inside. Deal with those things and you can and will have lasting change. But it will take 100% commitment and you need to be willing to admit you need to change. That what you have been doing, your lifestyle up till now, needs to change. And you need to be patient with yourself, and kind, and you will need to persist.

And never, ever give up. It is worth it. Your health is worth it. You are worth it.

It's super Saturday, April! If you've ever been late for work. Late for a date. Felt too old to change. Missed the boat/train. Fell off the wagon. Took a sabbatical. Derailed while on vacation. Bad stuff happened in life. It’s okay to be late. All LATE stands for is:

A-t
T-he
E-xperience

Then get back on track. There’s years worth of empty days ahead to fill will good positive choices!

Super Friday, April! Those negative thoughts we get, the negative comments or negative posts some people leave on our page or feed are like gangrene…cut them out! You’re already beautiful! SparkPeople is where we came to get help in becoming healthy. We cry with each other over the disappointments, sorrows and pain we experience. Good morning! Are you tired of watching what you eat, finding time to exercise, trying to do things up differently to stay interested and engaged? It’s at those moments when we’re wondering if it’s all worth it we need to dig deep into our inner person, the one so far deep, deep inside and find the will to continue.
