Go Team Shooting Stars!

I'm a 35 year old mom of three who is currently at home with two little ones. Its my objective to continue getting stronger and to become more active. I would like to show my family leadership with healthier eating and fun exercise.

We suffered an enormous loss this spring when at five months along in my pregnancy, we learned our little angel had gone back to heaven. Afterwards, I endured life threatening complications. It's been difficult, but I am still here! Life is precious;) Its time to get back sparking, and heal by focusing on the positive. For the rest of this year I am making myself a priority, amidst all the diapers and goofy kid fun, so that i have more energy and feel good about achieving my goals as well as raising a family. Its time to focus on myself a bit so I remember I need looking after too! We are hoping to travel somewhere warm this winter, and possibly a wedding in Cuba in November '13, so these trips will be excellent motivation. Helloooo bathing suits!
Looking forward to connecting with others and keeping motivated to push on towards a healthier, happier, skinnier me.

My Goals:
* Spring 2013 5% Challenge Commitment:
Go from 222 to 211(11lbs)
Stay within my caloric range of 1500-1850
Burn 2030 calories per week
I will exercise a minimum of 4 days a week
*I will alternate cardio days with weight training, focusing on upper and lower body strength
*I will eat between my
spark caloric range
* I will focus on eating clean
* I will continue to track water on my iphone
* I will support my team, sparkbuddy and sister by making at least one positive comment daily on a board, page or blog
*I am aiming for 11lbs lost by the end of this challenge

My Program:

I have armed myself with a variation of strength training routines to chose from to avoid boredom yet see results
I will use my resistance bands, sparkbuddy routine, kettlebells and free weights. If privacy or free time becomes and issue I will work on these in the comfort of my bedroom in the mornings( we have houseguests and renos going on)

Personal Information:
My actual name is April and my daughter is named Autumn
I have a teenaged son, a three year old daughter and a two year old son who keep me running:)

Other Information:
I love gardening, although I am not that good at it haha and I have finally started to compost
I love the arts-drawing, especially the human form, painting in acrylics, and sculpture, as well as photography and music.
I took a turn at design this year as we completely redid the exterior of our home, and are now finishing up the kitchen and bootroom addition. Must say, it looks fantastic! Now for landscaping

April!!

It's time to put a little more UMPH into our lives to help us to triumph to meet our weekly goals! Let's put the UMPH in triumph by not being so hard on ourselves, and reminding each other of that, and that to be successful we must bring fun and enjoyment into all of this! Put some UMPH in triumph by visualizing ourselves moving forward, and living our lives as we have imagined it no matter what our body looks like, but how we feel! With enough UMPH, and being in this together we CAN and WILL have a WOOHOO journey together, buddy!
