Good to be back!

I'm a 35 year old mom of three who is currently at home with two little ones. Its my objective to continue getting stronger and to become more active. I would like to show my family leadership with healthier eating and fun exercise.

We suffered an enormous loss this spring when at five months along in my pregnancy, we learned our little angel had gone back to heaven. Afterwards, I endured life threatening complications. It's been difficult, but I am still here! Life is precious;) Its time to get back sparking, and heal by focusing on the positive. For the rest of this year I am making myself a priority, amidst all the diapers and goofy kid fun, so that i have more energy and feel good about achieving my goals as well as raising a family. Its time to focus on myself a bit so I remember I need looking after too! We are hoping to travel somewhere warm this winter, and possibly a wedding in Cuba in November '13, so these trips will be excellent motivation. Helloooo bathing suits!
Looking forward to connecting with others and keeping motivated to push on towards a healthier, happier, skinnier me.

* Fall 2014 5% Challenge Commitment:
Go from 237 to 225(12lbs))
Stay within my caloric range of 1640-1990
Burn 2030 calories per week
I will exercise a minimum of 4 days a week

My Program:
Strap on that fitbit, aiming for 10,000 steps per day
Do strength training with baby as weight lol
Go for walks with kids after dinner, even if just for ten minutes

My actual name is April and my daughter's name is Autumn:)
I am mom to four children-a teen in grade 12, my five year old daughter, my three year old son, and a newborn baby boy!


Other Information:
I love gardening, although I am not that good at it haha and I have finally started to compost
I love the arts-drawing, especially the human form, painting in acrylics, and sculpture, as well as photography and music.
I took a turn at design this year as we completely redid the exterior of our home, and are now finishing up the kitchen and bootroom addition. Must say, it looks fantastic! Now for landscaping

Missing you on the bear ROAR mountain challenge...if you have a few minutes could you post to the thread...we don't want to leave any bears out on our challenge...we want the clan to all stay together up and down that mountain. Cheering you on my sweet friend! emoticon emoticon
