A New City a New Beginning

I found Spark a year and a half ago. Over the course of a couple of months I dropped about 13 lbs (amazing!) and promptly regained it (oopsies). My approach that time was tracking food meticulously (down to the .25 tsp). Of course, life does not allow that level of scrutiny on a regular basis. I did take from that experience a much greater awareness of the food I was putting in my mouth and a much greater knowledge of what foods to eat. My approach that time was tracking food meticulously (down to the .25 tsp). Of course, life does not allow that level of scrutiny on a regular basis. I did take from that experience a much greater awareness of the food I was putting in my mouth and a much greater knowledge of what foods to eat. I sorta half-heartedly restarted earlier this year by, again, restricting my foods, but I just lost interest. I felt kind of bad about coming back here unless I was certain I was intent on changing my life.

What's different? I've moved to a new state!! I'm so excited and happy to be here :D. I've also moved to an apartment complex with a gym. I've been jogging with a pretty good amount of consistency for about a month. I've set specific jogging goals (thanks Spark!) and I feel much better after jogging. I'm not losing weight because I've been ignoring my diet, and that brings me back to Spark. I'm hoping to figure out how to eat healthily and in a reasonable (i.e. not obsessive compulsive) manner. This is my new beginning!
