Girl, Please...you got this.

Whatever doesn't kill me will put me in the nuthouse. But, I'll take it day by day and try to be the best me and I can. Im a mom and wife and a darn good friend. I'm done with dieting, just trying to slow down and do things right.

Started a serious journey with Sparkpeople in March 2011. I wanted to get into shape for running a 5K with my daughter for "Girls on the Run." I didn't put my heart in it as I should have. I did end up run/walking the 5K with her and her friend, but ...

Started a serious journey with Sparkpeople in March 2011. I wanted to get into shape for running a 5K with my daughter for "Girls on the Run." I didn't put my heart in it as I should have. I did end up run/walking the 5K with her and her friend, but I remember feeling embarrassed and ashamed at how big and out of shape I was. That was May 2011...and I was 227lbs.

That day, I got serious. I worked out, followed Spark, bought the Spark book, and had the website up on my computer as I worked 3rd shift. I was doing very well...dropping about 17lbs from May - Aug 2011.

Things got very out of control after that. Caring for a very sick Mother-in-law who couldn't pay for her COBRA health insurance...meaning I would have to work almost every night. Caring for her and the kids during the day and catching an hour or two sleep when I could. It totally derailed me. Then, she passed in Dec 2011.

Since then, I had just not gotten back to my health. I ate what I wanted and just enjoyed SITTING and not doing anything. By June 2012, I ballooned to 232lbs...higher than when I started just over a year ago.

I am focused and ready to go. I've dropped the first 20..leaving me where I was when I stopped a year ago. I'm dusting myself off and staying the course.

Goals:

Start weight 232 - 7/2/12

212 (-20) First 20 is always exciting - 8/5/12

205 (-27) weight I was when I delivered twins who were a combined weight of 15lbs - 9/5/12

199 (-33) First time under 200 since Oct 2007 - 9/25/12

194 (-38) Weight I was in July of 2007 (after only 3 months of working 3rd shift)

185 (-47) BMI officially 'overweight" instead of 'Obese'. Also weight when I first started working 3rd shift April 2007 -

172 (-60) because to say I lost 60lbs would feel amazing!

If I am comfortable with how I look, I may stop here. I want to be a weight I KNOW I can maintain.

160 (-72) Weight I was in December 2005 and thought I was ridiculously fat

153 (-79) Highest official weight that would put me in the "healthy" BMI range

148 (-84) Weight I was in 1999 before all the babies started coming, lol

Thank you very much for the encouragement!!! I think I used to give up when I had a rough patch and I'm learning in all aspects of my life to not do that anymore.
