Hi! I started my health journey in April 2007 just before my mom went into the hospital. She passed away just a month later. While she was in hospital, I lost 22 lbs. Since then, I got help from a dietician and I found a wonderful trainer. From June to Dec 2007, I lost approx 7 lbs a month. Even though I wasn't fully utilizing the site, I was learning a lot from the SparkPeople articles that arrived in my mailbox. They gave me ideas and helped to keep me focussed. ...

Since then, I got help from a dietician and I found a wonderful trainer. From June to Dec 2007, I lost approx 7 lbs a month. Even though I wasn't fully utilizing the site, I was learning a lot from the SparkPeople articles that arrived in my mailbox. They gave me ideas and helped to keep me focussed. So far in 2008, my weight loss has slowed down, but I am still doing great. I've lost 80 lbs, and I'm looking a lot more trim because of the exercise. I have 46 lbs to go! I'm getting there!

I work 85% time, but also study part time. I'm working towards an undergrad degree in Linguistics and Psychology. I have two sweet brown tabby cats that I love dearly. I enjoy Tai Chi and Yoga, and wish I had more time for belly dancing!
