Fighting thyroid disease WANT 2 lose weight.

I am 39 years old,overweight, according to normal guidelines "obese!" would not go that far! I am a definate "CARB" queen, need to keep motivated, Need A friend, To walk, bike or hike with, I am determined, did it once and want to keep fit, healthy and be sexy again. Stop getting wire hanger to zip jeans up.
Want beautiful legs to show off, this is my goal!
Don't want to squish my husband in pictures. Not looking to be "Barbie" model just healthy, happy and fit into those ...

It's been a long time since I've been on here. I hope you are doing well! I fell off the wagon, by first breaking my ankle, then all the daily things. I went back once where I pulled a back muscle so I went back off again.. but now I am back, this time to stick, this time to make it a life change not just for myself, but for my whole family! It's difficult, but I know that it will one day be rewarding! emoticon

Hi! I just read your status, make sure to get a measuring tape and take measurements (neck, waist, hips, thigh, arm, chest) and compare them with your weigh-ins. There are many times that we are gaining muscle (yeah) not losing lbs (*sniff*) or sometimes even gain lbs (**SNIFF**) but if we take measurements we will see the results there! I lost 1 lbs the past week, but I also lost 1 inch off the waist & chest, 2 inches off the hips!!!!!! Don't worry, your hard work WILL eventually be fruitfull! It takes time! I get so discouraged, I know I lost 12 lbs total so far, but only can tell when naked. With clothes on I look exactly the same. But Soon.. Soon enough.. One step at a time.. One meal at a time.. One day, I will show 'em! I will clothes shop for smaller clothes..muuuaaaahhhh!

The personal trainer was alright. We shall see what he comes up with :) he's really into helping people get healthier - seems more genuine than doing this for money, so that was nice. The only downside with any personal trainer is they always want you to buy their products (usually powdered mix for a shake). But it does seem a lot healthier than the weight watchers ones were. I'm going to look stuff up online to see if I can get comparable for a less of a price though -so I get enough protien and healthy stuff, without all the sugar and fake sugar and fat.. I found out I"m stronger than I though. He was impressed that Spark people had the right calorie range for me, etc. but said my protien should average 104 per day. (less on non-workout days, more on workout days). He's going to create two four week workouts for me, we shall see!!! :)

It's been a CRAZY few days. I got a lot of walking in this weekend. I only put 2 miles of it on my fitness.. but boy did I have fun! I brought my daughter to the Michigan game, got her a homecoming dance dress (although she's only a 9th grader) and then slept in Sunday. The last two days I pushed myself at the gym to see how much I could lift in reps. I meet with a personal trainer on Saturday. For $50 he will give me two workout plans, a little advice on the food stuff, five meetings total, two that are 1/2 hrs, the other three just a few minutes here and there when we are both at the gym, so he can make sure I'm doing things right. I thought that was a good deal. We shall see. OMG... I lost a little of my love handles. Not enough for anyone to notice, but the bf did! I only lost 2 lbs the past week, but I lost a few inches here and there. gotta keep tryin.. gotta keep pushin...
