Me taken a day or so ago, current weight 286, starting weight was 388. I'm enjoying participating in the Fall 5% Challenge, looking for 272 at the end of the event.

Me post work out this morning, it was leg day. I'm at 297 in this picture after starting at 388. My next goal is 288 as part of th Spirited UnderDawgS team in the Summer 5% Challenge. If you have never done a seasonal challenge on a team I highly recomend it.

I've been overweight my entire life, but recently had an epiphany that I control my health. I love to listen to music, read, and follow sports, and hope to learn to love exercise. I'm a computer guy for a small school district in Arkansas. Favorite sports teams include the St. Louis Cardinals, K.C. Chiefs, and the Arkansas Razorbacks. I've also spent over 30 years behind a microphone in the radio business.

Fitness Minutes: 17,041

My Goals:
To get to a size where I can buy clothing in any store.
I want to fit into an airplane seat, ONE seat.
How about fit on a rollercoaster with my son and ride.
Get off Type 2 diabetes meds and blood


My Program:
Tracking everything that I eat while concentrating not only on calorie goals but lowering bad carb intake and more lean protein.
Using videos here to build up an exercise program.



Personal Information:
I was born in Carlsbad New Mexico in 1962, adopted in Los Angeles in 1964, and in 1971 parents moved to Missouri where I was raised.
I've called Arkansas home since 1985 after bouncing around radio stations as a DJ in Missouri.
Graduated college and was married in 1996 and have one Son, Robert who is 12.


Other Information:
I'm kind of an all around geek, or nerd type. I enjoy working with computers and ham radios, along with watching all flavors of Star Trek. I love Spock with an attitude in the new movie. However, I do have a bad boy side as I also enjoy playing pool and texas hold 'em poker. I love the smile on my Son when he is happy and hope I'm helping himi to grow into a good man. I'm proud of him.

    I never learn Steve - the numbers looked wrong to me so I backtracked and what I found is 2 people must have posted at the same time - both took the 15 for No Salt and both had totals of 60.

    Sorry for the confusion Steve - I'll mind my own "beeswax" next time - - - until I forget again emoticon emoticon

    Are you interested in a Challenge?

    The Biggest Loser goes for 10 weeks. It consists of 10 teams participating in weekly Fitness and Nutrition challenges. The Winter challenge will be getting started the beginning of December. It consists of fitness and nutrition challenges that are often in a form of a game. If for some reason you cannot do a challenge then they are modified to meat your needs. Often we do the challenge in a game form, we have BINGO and TIC TAC TOE or seasonally themed. For Fall we had a World Series and a Haunted House. If you decide this might be for you you can leave your name on the waitlist for the Winter challenge.
