My philosophy on life: If I can run 26.2 miles (twice!) I can do anything I put my mind to. So far, this belief has proved true multiple times!

Hi! My name is Nikki and I am a 23 year old Physician Assistant, now working in the Emergency Department in various Pittsburgh area hospitals. I am also a part-time EMT on a busy ambulance service in my hometown. I blog over at www.antosdoeslife.wordpress.com.

I started out at around 160 lbs after gaining 20 lbs in my first three years of college. In high school I ran cross country, but as soon as I got to college, I was no longer on a team and did not have scheduled practices and runs everyday, and the all you can eat buffet cafeteria food took its toll on me. But my junior year I decided to make a change. I started a new relationship and began classes that were more focused on my major (health science) and decided that if I am going to be instructing many patients with weight loss difficulty in the future, I obviously need to start by taking care of myself and setting an example for them! I lost the weight by gradually watching what i was eating (moderation at the cafeteria!), as well as exercising consistently. I lost 10 lbs in about 6 months and then lost another 10 lbs in about 3 months training for the Baltimore Marathon. I am still working at hopefully what will be the last 10 lbs to lose to get me the most fit perfect and into the most comfortable size for my running endeavors.

I love running and have been running for about 10 years. I have run three marathons, my most recent being the Pittsburgh Marathon with a time of 3:57:53...a personal record by over 45 minutes from my previous marathon!! :)

My goals this year have shifted a bit as I am a new "bride-to-be" for November 2012. I am hoping to get in the best shape of my life while still keeping my love for running in the Pittsburgh Marathon 2012! :)

My Goals:
-Track everything, all the time, no matter what.
-Exercise for 30 minutes, at least 5 days a week.
-Drink TONS of water.
-Eat healthy and in moderation.


My Program:
Revamping and starting something new with this, yet I haven't decided so stay tuned!



Personal Information:
I was born and raised in a suburb of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, and graduated from Duquesne University, with a Master's in Physician Assistant Studies. I have completed three marathons, and hope to run more very soon. I have an awesome now fiance and bomb sister!


Other Information:
I love napping, reading, fall, football, halloween, Entourage, pirates, asparagus, pumpkin anything, and marathons!
