I'm a college student at Portland State in Oregon. I am new to dieting and i have recently tried a stupid diet ans wasted money on it... I now understand that i have to do this the natural way!

After losing 5-6 lbs in the spring, i fell off the wagon completely and gained back 15lbs. I am ready to put in the hard work again. With a gym membership and the incentive to fit back into my old jeans.

My Goals:
My initial goal is to lose 50lbs, eat better, feel good, and learn to balance my schedule to have it all.

Once i lose the 50, i'll see where ill go from there. :)

My Program:
Right now i am just trying to make going to the gym part of my routine. Typically, i do the elliptical and some time on the bike until i can work myself up to use the stairs.

I am 19 and a full time student





Other Information:
I love to learn and read. I am a sophomore in college at Portland State Univ. I love school and i want to be healthy in mind and body - right now i am working on both.

I thought of you today and your fried chicken story! I went to a bar for appetizers with one of the clubs that I am in, and I got 3 buffalo wings, 2 mozzarella sticks, and some potato. I did not over do it which was really great (I am at 1270 calories for today), and the food really did not taste that great. It is so fantastic when your body disengages from things like buffalo wings and fried chicken! Keep up the great work!!

Just a quick fyi - I added to my gallery a pic my sister took of The Great Wall during her last trip there...the photo doesn't do it justice, but thought I'd let you know.

They are both difficult for me right now. I had been going on interviews, so I have been having to pick up quick stuff. I try to make good choices, like a sandwich with an apple; however, I haven't lost any weight. Next week will be better because I am going to start exercising again. My shoes fell apart, so I just bought some last night and will start at the gym again tonight! Don't get discouraged! You can overcome it and hop right back on!
