I would like to get rid of excess body fat, rehab weak areas of my body, and make a successful return to running! In the past, I've tried eating, exercising, and sleeping better... and just about everything else generally recommended. I'm trying again, this time making many wise choices simultaneously rather than hoping something will prove to be a "magic bullet." I've noticed small changes for the good as of late, which gives me hope. For example, I have recently enjoyed fresh, green, leafy salads - something I previously felt the need to drown in creamy dressing, bacon, and cheese! Maybe with a few healthy changes taken all together and a bit more dedication, I can finally reach my goals of weighing 135 pounds and running a pain-free 5k. My favorite healthy things include group Zumba workouts, roasted vegetables, laughing at clean comedy, and hiking/walking/jogging/trail running with my dog. Steps I'm taking to get where I want to be include the following: focusing on quality sleep, crafting an exercise plan utilizing primarily my own body weight, following my physical therapy plan after a knee injury, and following the GAPS nutritional protocol. Let's do this!

My Goals:
Get to 125lbs.

Get to a point where I'm sleeping well.

Run a 5k without pain. (This will involve working up slowly and faithfully stretching/treating, as I have some hip/knee/foot issues.)


My Program:
Find a medication or supplement that helps me sleep soundly.

Make exercise something I do for fun in my free time.

Walk for transportation when possible.

Follow "Run Your Butt Off."

Find delicious ways to incorporate lots of vegetables into my diet.
