I would like to get rid of just over 20 pounds of fat. In the past, I've tried eating, exercising, and sleeping better... and just about everything else generally recommended. I'm ready to try again, by taking many wise steps simultaneously rather than hoping something will prove to be a "magic bullet."

I've noticed small changes for the good as of late, which gives me hope. For example, today I enjoyed a nice, leafy salad - not something I typically like - and I didn't want a whole lot of dressing on it - something I typically like too much of. Maybe with a few healthy changes taken all together and a bit more dedication, I can finally reach my goals of weighing 125 pounds and running a pain-free 5k.

My favorite healthy things include group Zumba workouts, roasted vegetables, and hiking/walking/jogging/trail running.

Steps I'm taking to get where I want to be include the following: focusing on quality sleep, crafting a list of exercises I can do with the meager equipment I have at my apartment, walking for transportation when possible, following the "Run Your Butt Off" book/plan, and upping veggies while minimizing refined carbs.

My Goals:
Get to 125lbs.

Get to a point where I'm sleeping well.

Run a 5k without pain. (This will involve working up slowly and faithfully stretching/treating, as I have some hip/knee/foot issues.)

My Program:
Find a medication or supplement that helps me sleep soundly.

Make exercise something I do for fun in my free time.

Walk for transportation when possible.

Follow "Run Your Butt Off."

Find delicious ways to incorporate lots of vegetables into my diet.
