Hi, I'm Monica
I have been fighting with weight issues ever since I can remember! My memories of first grade are summed up mostly with the voices of other children singing, "fatty-fatty-2X4... can't get through the bathroom door"!! I've never been considered obese, but always over-weight. It has affected my self-esteem tremendously and I have made some very poor life-choices because of it. I have drowned myself in self-pity and allowed myself to become depressed about it to a point of almost ruining my marriage.
I've been a member of SP since May 2007 but it was not until May 2008 that I finally made up my mind that enough is enough!! So I joined WW on-line and the real journey began. I'm SO DONE with being FAT! (oh! I said a BAD word!!)
The road has not really been that rough since I joined WW, though I have fallen down many times. But I will keep getting up, shaking off the dirt, and going on ahead. I will NOT look back and I will NOT give up! (Did I say I'm DONE???) It's time for a lifetime lifestyle change.... IT'S ALL UP TO ME! I'm the only one who can do it! And... NO MORE EXCUSES!! : )

Starting weight: 191.2 (May 08)
First goal: 171.2 (10%)
Second goal: 161.2
Third goal: 150 (+/-) and maintain

I started with Weight Watchers on-line 25 May 08. I'm doing the CORE program.
I have just started doing a "Gym-less" interval workout that I plan to do every other day. The other days, I will continue to walk and do strength building exercises.
I give my goals to God each day in prayer and ask for His strength to do what I need to do to make my body be a more presentable temple for Him.
I love God and I love my family and friends. Now, I just want to love myself!
I met my Canadian husband while on vacation in Cancun. It was the best vacation ever! Our children are grown, so it's just the 2 of us now. When I met my DH, I weighed 148 lbs, but had been doing the diet pill thing. I will never do that again.. it's just not healthy! But I do want to get back to that weight again and I WILL! It's a DONE deal!
