Down is the way up and out

Hey sparkies!

I'm here! I'm on the shy side. . . as many heavy people are.

I'm married, happy, have a great job, and now is the time to shed these pounds.

I've been putting in the work (eating less/moving more) and I'm hoping that joining this community will help me not feel so . . .well. . . alone in my struggle.

Oh did I mention that I used to weigh over 300?

I've lost 75 - so that puts me at the halfway between there ...

Track calories using CalorieKing

Refer to my CalorieKing history to get get meal ideas

Place a sticker on calendar to show progress with staying in good calorie range (green/yellow/red)

Try new recipies. I love my new Blendtec. Green smoothie anyone?

Shop/meal plan/cook on weekends.

Become more proficient in the kitchen.

Walk at lunch,

Go to Gym at night (cardio and strength).

Go hiking with husband
and dog on weekends

Cut down on TV watching.


Other Information:
I'm hooked on podcasts and audiobooks.

I like vegetarian food.

Thanks for the comment on my blog! I didn't even know how to find them, I didn't even know i HAD them! lol

I understand what you mean about feeling guilty and ashamed of feeling down when everything in your life is good. I always feel "ungrateful" when I am in a mood just because of food, stress, etc. I'm with ya sister! I am starting to find out that women just need time to be moody, it's selfish time. It's MY time to be unhappy, whether someone likes it or not. LOL then eventually, I get over it. Then I usually have to apologize to my husband.. haha =)

I can't wait til I get to 75 lbs gone! I bet you feel wonderful! emoticon

Thanks for posting on my blog. I thought about you tonight, hope your barbeque went well and you enjoyed yourself. You have done an amazing job so far! Heard a quote tonight that impressed me..."the journey IS the destination". Enjoy the ride!
