May 2010. 155 lbs, at my friend's wedding, carrying the Olympic torch!
Winter 2009. This explains the weight gain!
Blast from the past: 125 lbs, November 2004
Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
Hello. I am in my thirties, married and living in the beautiful albeit damp Pacific Northwest. My goal is to improve my health through adopting sensible eating and exercise habits, losing fat, gaining strength.
Here I am back on SP after losing 10 lbs then regaining it. I will not give up!
In the 7 years since I graduated from university, moved out of country, started my career, I have slowly put on 35 lbs. Last June I was successful to lose 10 lbs, going from 155 to 145.
I know that when I get distracted from myself and my goals, my eating and exercise habits slide and I regain weight. I know the path to losing weight, it's just a matter of sticking to it!
I believe in healthy weight loss, sensible plans, and do not ascribe to fad diets. I believe the key is slow steady weight loss and being able to live with the changes that you make.
To gain more energy and not get sick all the time. To not feel winded after running 3 miles. To feel comfortable in my skin. To not need to take hours to get ready. To dress in clothes aside from jeans and sweatshirt. To be well. To be fit. To be happy. To be me.
I have been away from SP and distracted from my healthy eating and exercise goals and I have regained the 10lbs I lost. My program is to get back to food tracking at least 4x a week and to stay connected with my weight loss buddies!
I believe that hard work will yield results, and that there is no quick fix solution to weight loss.

Thanks for the comment. I need to get refocused and recommitted to both my nutrition and fitness plans. I work full-time and I'm in a graduate program, so things get pretty hectic sometimes. Luckily, I only have a week left of my summer class and then a two-week break, and then I'll be cutting back my hours at work a bit, so I think I should be able to get back on track. Thanks for your support and encouragement!

Hi there! I JUST saw the comment you left on my page a month ago! Sorry, somehow it got burried in my Inbox and I didn't see it til I was just cleaning it out this morning. Anyway, I'm doing pretty good. Really upping the workouts lately (with my husband!) and hoping to see some results soon! Just gotta get a handle on the eating a bit more. Have a great day and thanks for checking in! Hope you've been well.

thanks for the encouragemen!!! i do a learn to run free run 1-2 times a week. most of the days my friend and i miss the class and run on our own for an hour however today we joined the class and it was brutal! there is somehting to be said for peer pressure... everyone else is running how can i stop/??!! but it was very difficult for me. i have zero endurance. however, at the beginning i could barely run a minute and today i did 9
straight and then 8 straight and then about 7 straight so it's nice to see something change. the scale saga continues as i haven't bee nable to find a scale that i'm willing to pay the price for and that will do what i want and since this is getting silly i am just going to get a basic one instead of trying to be too fancy! im amazed at how low you keep your calories an! seriously. but i will keep at it. today i had a steak with extra salad instead of fries and kept half the steak for tomorrow's lunch. it still cost me a lot but i enjoyed it. at lunch i had a craving for a burger and poutine but my friend convinced me to get a healthier subway which completely burned my tongue (unusually hot jalapeno). tomorrow i'll try again. steak and spinach salad for lunch maybe? if i get up early enough i really like having oatmeal, but i don't get up early enough. and as it is 3am now it is unlikely that i will be up... oh well! toast it will be.
