Fat to Fit - A journey not only in Pounds but in Places

It all started last March 2009. I had been steadily gaining weight over the past 5 years, but not so fast that I was really noticing it. However in March, I was in Mexico with my family when I broke my collarbone going down a waterslide. When we met with the Club Owners, they had me get on a scale and then pronounced that "I was just too fat for thier waterslide and as such, my own liability and responsibility for the accident." It all started last March 2009. I had been steadily gaining weight over the past 5 years, but not so fast that I was really noticing it. However in March, I was in Mexico with my family when I broke my collarbone going down a waterslide. When we met with the Club Owners, they had me get on a scale and then pronounced that "I was just too fat for thier waterslide and as such, my own liability and responsibility for the accident." This was really a watershed moment and from then on, I decided that enough was enough and it was time to change my ways!

I started to watch what I was eating, cut out meat and chicken, and started to prioritize working out over work. Luckily, I have my own business, so while it was difficult to make the time, I decided that my personal health should come first.

I found a workout that I really love - TRX Suspension Training - which came with an added bonus in that I know the inventor/founder and have a group of friends that also work out there.

My Goals:
I have lost nearly 40 lbs and am now working on the last 15. Going nice and slow now to make sure that it lasts for the rest of my life!

My Program:
TRX Suspension Training 2-3 times a week. Classes at the JCCSF and running and walking with my dog!
