So, I'm starting again and making a commitment to myself to stay focused and consistent. 1/14/12.

Hi, my name is Annie. I use to be a very healthy, fun, active, loving, social person and then about 15 years ago I started gaining weight. I tried every diet, I exercised hard, and I eventually gave up on myself. I became a hermit and continued downhill until I woke up I realized I have to fight for myself or I will not be around much longer. I have a very challenging road ahead of me, but I am going to stay positive and utilize every tool I can think of to help me find the person I should never have lost in the first place. With love and support from my family and friends I know I can do this. Let the journey begin...

My Goals:
My goal is to lose 257 pounds. I don't care if it takes me 15 years to do it. As long as I am becoming a healthier person each day. I want to live the kind of life I can only dream about right now. It is the kind of life I use to live before gaining to 407 pounds and I now have the confidence I need to do it along with a very supportive family..


My Program:
I had my first appointment yesterday with a bariatric physician at Emory Health Clinic. She is monitoring my health along with placing my on a Type 2 diabetes meal plan. As far as I know I do not have diabetes, but she felt this would be the easiest plan to follow for me and also a plan that my health allows me to follow.



Personal Information:
I am originally from Colorado. I moved to Georgia when I was 22. I have been married to my husband, Rick, for 27 years. We have two kids, a son who just turned 25 and a daughter who is 19. I have three dogs and one cat. I am a medical transcriptionist and don't get out of the house much at all (which I plan on changing :) )


Other Information:
I daydream a lot. I have fun with Facebook. I love love stories, action/adventure, romantic comedies, and dramas. I love different cultures. I love dance and music. I love flowers and gardening (but I don't do it enough). I need friends and family to support me in this new life of mine. :)

    hello there. you asked about my kangoo jumps. my husband is over 350 and has the same ones that the company suggested. and he LOVES them. it takes a lot of stress off your knees. not to mention its like playing on a trampoline without having to get up on one. he has no problems with them at all.
    I really do love them and for the price it is worth it. Even if you just start off walking in them still a great way to start a healthy exercise routine. I run at 5 am so i am not stopped and asked about them though. but I am working my way to a 5k in the fall.

    I did Tony Ferguson for about a month. I just couldn't hack the shakes and bars especially the bars bleh! Now going Jenny Craig and have had great success with the exception of the odd week or two.
