I NEED to lose weight...about 80 lbs (okay really closer to 100, but I'm putting 80 to not get depressed)! Hi, I'm April from Georgia. Growing up I never had issues with my weight and could eat anything. I did exercise when I felt like it, but not regularly. Once I had kids everything changed. With high blood pressure, swollen ankles, back and knee pain I have to lose this weight!

Things I have learned about me:
1)I don't enjoy exercise and I want to change
2)I don't have an active lifestyle and I want to change
3)I live a stressful life and I want to change
4)I want to be calmer
5)I want to be thinner
6)I want to be healthier
7)I need to learn to give to myself, not just everyone else.
I'm here for motivation because I don't have a support system.

My story: After my 2nd child all the weight didn't come off. With two kids 24 months apart, and the depression of losing of my mother to cancer at 54 years old I started gaining. As I got older and dealt with more stress I got heavier. I lost both my remaining grandparents after losing my mom. I am an only child and now care for my father who is in poor health, stay at home with two kids who are homeschooled and do everything for my husband. I am a giver and somehow lost myself in everyone else. The weight seems to be much harder to get rid of than I ever imagined. I'm tired ALL the time and my ankles swell and hurt when I'm on my feet any amount of time. I also suffer from low back pain, high blood pressure and my knees hurt. I feel my body is not able to hold up all this weight anymore. I feel like I'm working against the current here trying to exercise with all this pain. I am looking to Spark People to help me stay motivated. I don't want to live this way and pray it's not too late for me to get this weight off.

My Goals:

Get my weight below 200

10 minutes of cardio every weekday.

10 minutes of yoga and strength training every weekday.

Get BMI from obese then normal.

Continue following DASCH diet adding more fresh vegetables and fruits and less processed foods to every meal.

-Gain more energy
-Live healthier lifestyle
-Develop active lifestyle

My Program:
I started with the DASCH diet which is for people with high blood pressure. I've been on it for 3 weeks now.

I have a Wii fit and got EA Sports and Wii Fit Plus for Christmas. I plan on using those to help me.

Personal Information:
I'm the mother of 2 awesome kids.

Pack leader to 3 loving dogs and 1 cat.

I'm a giver to the point that I give all of me and leave nothing for myself.

Other Information:
I love photography. I used to love to travel, but now that I'm so overweight it's not a pleasant experience, especially flying in those seats.

I love romantic comedy movies. I enjoy John Grisham books, but haven't had any time to read with a hectic life.

I take care of my father who is in poor health.
