It's all about the journey...

I'm 42, a wife, a mother, and I'm at my highest weight ever... I'm tired of being tired. I want my energy back!

I LOVE yoga, pilates, volleyball, belly dance, roller skating, and fitness classes. I walk/wog when the weather allows.

Healthy meals are tough for me - I'm hopelessly picky in the food department. I'm working on coming out of my comfort zone by trying new foods and recipes.

47 pounds to go. Fingers crossed!

My Goals:
My goal for 2013 is to lose 50 pounds. One of my secret dreams is to become a yoga/pilates instructor. If (when!) I accomplish this goal, I plan to persue this dream, to make it a reality. Another secret dream is to take a roller derby course! Losing 50 pounds this year would allow me to do this.

My Program:
I am trying to make food journaling a habit.

My daily calorie target is 1500 - 1700.

My nutrition program is trying and incorporating new veggies (and maybe even a few fruits?) to my daily food intake.

My fitness target is to use Nike+Fitness 3 times each week. Target includes alternating with yoga/pilates. I walk outside when possible, and when I find a job, I plan to resume belly dance instruction.

Success is not a race, be patient.
Success leads to success.
Success is always a work in progress.
Success doesn't come to you--you go to it.
Success is a journey, not a destination. Focus on the process.
Some people dream about success... while others wake up and work hard at it.
Success is achieved and maintained by those who try-and keep trying.
Everyday is a good day to SUCCEED!
If at first you don't succeed-try, try again - Author unknown

emoticon for joining the "Writers' Support Group" team. I wish you much success with your weight loss. Take things one healthy meal, one exercise, one positive day at a time and always believe in yourself you can do this, one pound at a time. emoticon -- Lou
