You see that sexy lady in the red dress? I've always wanted to look kickin in a red dress and never got around to it when I was young and trim. But I WILL get there...and soon!

Honestly though, I've never been more committed and clear than now with this endevour. In the past I have only used extreme methods, be it eating one meal a day or being ALL raw vegan, etc. I never had the patience and steadiness in spirit to build a solid foundation of small changes and let them accumulate over time and see gradual, much less traumatizing progress.

It took a lot for me to unravel past habits and mindsets and I truly thank sp for helping me with that. It also took me working on anxiety and emotions so that I don't need food as a coping mechanism.

I am going to try and blog regularly and be supportive of all of you whom I come across on this site, but am also very busy with six kids and university, so forgive me if it's sporadic sometimes. :)

Right now, I am dairy and gluten free out of physical necessity...I recently got a food sensitivity test, which I highly recommend doing! I also happen to be vegetarian, soooo, I am learning my way through this because the improvements have been nothing but remarkable. I am currently challenging myself to have fruit and salad everyday and I have met my match despite having long stints of raw veganism, lol.

Also trying to workout...I want to run a marathon or perhaps the warrior dash in the summer of 2012. ... I can't Wait until I have the 10, 20, 30 etc pounds lost pics like so many of you!

I AM READY!!!

So feel free to add me as a friend, if you read all this. ;)

My Goals:
2012 Goals:

1) Lose lots! ....I guess that would translate into working the exercise and calorie counting consistently.

2) Maintain the veg and gluten free/dairy free diet, since it's helping me so much (should be easy though, but still relatively new for me)

3) Sign up and train for something...considering the Warrior Dash.

My Program:
1) Strict calorie counting and staying within my limits.

2) Continually improving my exercise habits, hopefully getting to everyday status. I am working hard on this.

3) Continually improving my diet, but in small increments only...anything else doesn't last. So far, no dairy, no meat, no gluten. Working on eliminating junk and refined sugar and incorporating more salads and fruits.

4) Weekly blogging? We will see...I am not really stressed about being perfectly perfect about it.

Personal Information:
I am from Ontario, Canada, have six children between the ages of 6-21. Also finishing up fourth year university...not sure what I'm doing after that. Master's if I can't think of anything else, lol.

Other Information:
It seems that apples, laughter and running are the best medicines?

Always be glad you made it to your birthday. :)
