My sister, me and my best friend!
I started on SparkPeople 12/07/08. I decided something needed to change, when my brother, who is one of my best friends, told me I was getting fat. I was always 'the skinny one' as he would say, but, I started gaining... I didn't realize, that it was my lifestyle that was doing it.. I thought I was doing fine eating 4 or 5 meals a day, what I didn't take into consideration, was that these were not small meals, as they should be... or that one or two of them were not little snacks. I was way overeating, and didn't think anything about it. I got up to my heaviest weight of 183 or 185. It was not an ok place to be. But, within the first 3 months of joining SparkPeople, I lost 25 lbs!!! And started getting my life on track!!

12/14/08 - 176 lbs
12/21/08 - 173 lbs
12/28/08 - 175 lbs (Holidays got the best of me)
01/04/09 - 172 lbs (only 10 more lbs. to reach first goal,
and 1 month 10 days to do it in!)
01/18/09 - 167 lbs (woohoo! makes up for last week!!)
01/25/09 - 165 lbs (only 3 more lbs to my first goal!)
02/08/09 - 161 lbs (met my first goal, a week early!!!)
02/22/09 - 159 lbs (woohoo! Breaking into the 150's)
03/01/09 - On vacation, didn't even step on a scale!
03/08/09 - 157 lbs
03/22/09 - 155 lbs
04/05/09 - 154 lbs (getting back on track today!)
04/11/09 - FOUND OUT I'M PREGNANT
12/03/09 - Had my baby!
I had a long term goal of losing 48 lbs by 5/3/09 (Mine & My husbands 1 year anniversary). I started by working on shorter goals, first up.. to weigh 162 lbs. by Valentine's Day. Goal met 2/08/09. After that I had various other small goals, that I ended up not being able to meet, due to pregnancy. Now that I have my beautiful healthy baby, I want to get back to it! Overall goal, to weigh 135 by 12/31/10. Giving myself almost a whole year to heal, finish losing the baby weight, and get down to my original goal! I say, totally doable!!!
I found that setting smaller everyday goals is really helping me to stay focused. I'm watching calorie intake, getting in a work out )even just a short one), and drinking as much water as I can.
My name is Anna, I have been married to the man of my dreams for almost 2 years now! We just had a baby. We both love kids so much, and are so happy to now have one of our own!
This is my year! My year to get physically and financially fit!! With the help of my amazing husband, my sister (who is my partner in crime!), SparkPeople, and a man named Dave Ramsey, I believe that this is absolutely going to happen!! And I am so excited to see to it that it does!!
