Let's Do It!!!

I'm a yo-yo dieter who finally got down to her goal weight at WW and stayed there for over 4 years now. WooHoo! I can stay under my WW goal weight but to take that next step to lose 10 more seems to elude me. No, I can't say that. I'm not tracking all the time so that may be when I eat more! I feel I'm exercising more but am I eating more then? Unfortunately when losing weight, my calorie range is pretty low to begin with. Even with doing exercise, I have to keep the calories pretty low. Anyway to my mindset it's pretty low. I also have a huge stomach and would really like to get it down. I've never had a flat stomach but this is way too much. It's bad health-wise too! I think some of it is trying to lose weight being post-menopausal Is less sugar and less carbs the answer? Well, enough said, now it's time to do something!

My Goals:
My Smart goals for 2014 are:
1. Get back into my maintenance range 130-136
2. Eat between 1200 - 1400 calories a day
3. Track, track, track and measure
4. Exercise – need to use my weights again but will start slow (3#) and increase - do 2-3x/week.
5. Walk and work up to 10,000+ steps again
6. Need new recipes to keep me on track - check out some of the recipes I’ve saved and make one a week.


My Program:
Give an overview of what you are doing to meet your goals 5% winter/spring Challenge:
1. Exercise every day - walking is every day; treadmill &/or elliptical 3x and strength 3x/week
2. Ill use what I learned from WW with tracker and also any ideas I've picked up from Belly Fat Cure, Abs Diet for Women, Low Carb/Sugar.
3. Will help encourage all whenever I can.
4. Go Team!

Personal Information:
I'm from the mid-west. Lived in NY for quite a few years and then we moved back to the mid-west.
Our dogs and cats are our kids :-)


Other Information:
Enjoy movies but usually rent DVDs to see one.
Love readng. Read mysteries most of the time - Evanovich is one of my favorites. Coffeehouse mysteries also.
Enjoy walking, also using the elliptical, and doing walking tapes. Do not have a trainer at the gym anymore so trying to do strength myself at gym and home.
Love Gardening - can't wait till May!

LOL Hon !! ENJOY the kids being UP so late,, and HAVING SUCH FUN !! In many yrs from now,, you will WISH this was happening again,, when the house is silent til the grands come over later in the day !!

But !! Even Grands grow up !! And mine have,,, it was MY place they ALL hung out ,, during their teens,,,,, yrs,, even late teen yrs,,, I even was in the process of learning the elect guitar to play it with them. It was a BALL !! We'd have 2 amps with eect guitars going,, 2 without amps,, and 1 or 2 acoustics ones playing, and as many us who knew the "current" song,, would be singing to it,, sometimes with mics. I lived in a high rise next to where I do now,,,, ALL of my neigbhors on the 6th floor LOVED IT,, and Only the POOPY head under me,, "said I can hear it !" and she said "I HATE IT" !! Well she's of the same congregation I am from,, and she HATES ANYTHING she's NOT invited to,, and if we invited her up,, ALL she wanted to talk about was PAIN she was in (or THOUGHT she was in,,, you know,, how some NEED to be NEEDY,, she's #1 in MANY books ! When in fact she has it quite easy compared to most others !) and of course NO Teens wants to hear that !! She's an older person,, I'd from time to time go down to her place,, and she'd OFTEN show up at 1 to 2 AM,,,, for me "Fix me cereal" (rice cereal) EASY to do, but than she'd stay to 3 or 4 AM !! So if you ever end up in a high rise,,,, or where they are a mixture of people living together,,, watch OUT for the whiners,, ur kids are just helping to get used to this ! LOL !! Kids are ADORABLE, and NO DOUBT you still LOVED watching them. They grow up WAY TO FAST !!! It just seems as if yesterday S,, was dressing up in princess dresses. Aww yeah. ENJOY these precious moments.

As you do get older,, if you also end up as I have,, alone,,, plz note I and t's NOT EVER "ALL ALONE" for you can than get to explore diff area's of ur life,, you once couldn't,, and U get to be the one who's OUT LATE !! Or do as I have,,, learned swimming again,, take up a new sport (Yoga) and ALWAYS keep friends, fam around,, for them to DROP IN OFTEN !! They will .

HUGS kiddo !! GOTTA love those tiny feet !! I am awaiting for my GR Grands to now come along (hopefully since my GD is only 19 it'll be a bit ! She's married),,,,,, and yeah,, I'll LOVE that just as much as always. I MAY even if my friends struggle to live on their own in about 30 yrs,,,, move up that way where they are now. I am in my mid 50s,,, I have,, we have PLENTY of time.

HAPPINESS is urs,, just in playing with the kids,, this weeks challenge ougtta be EASY For ya !
