I'm Anna, a 26 year old trying to lose 40 pounds during the next year. I would also like to work on building better muscle tone and becoming healthier all around.


A little background:

I am a newlywed and new grad nurse struggling to lose weight while the joys of domesticity and the stress of a new job threaten to pack on more pounds.

My biggest obstacles are inactivity, stress eating, and poor sleep habits. Recent life events (getting married, moving to a big city, new job) have only added on the pounds and stress. But I am determined to prove to myself that I can get healthy and stay that way.

I have been unhappy with my weight, lifestyle habits, and relationship with food for years and I'm more than ready for a change. I'm hoping that with help from SparkPeople, I'll be able to achieve my goal and that my journey will be made easier by sharing it with all of you.

My Goals:
#1: Lose 30 lbs by September 18th 2012.

#2: Become a pro at recognizing and choosing healthy food portions (no more binge eating)!

#3: Fall back in love with running.

#4: Get at least 7 hours of sleep every night.


My Program:
Diet: 1700 or less cal a day (no less than 1500) At least 8 glasses of H2O daily!

Cardio: At least 4 times a week for 20 min to 1 hour.

Weight Training: At least 2 times a week.

Yoga: At least 2 times a week.
