I saw that you posted about tipping in the USA. Here are some guidelines (just for people you're likely to encounter while on a holiday):
Servers in Restaurants- At least 15% of the pre-tax price on the bill (servers in the USA don't even get paid minimum wage, as the government just ASSUMES they will earn tips in this range).
Taxi Drivers- I usually round up to the nearest $5, unless the fare is $24.50 or something, in which case I would leave about $3.50 (something to make it a nice, round number).
Hotel Staff- At least $1 per bag if the bellhop carries them to your room (but they rarely seem to anymore, outside of five-star luxury hotels!), and at least $1 per day for housekeeping (it's best to leave it daily because you might have a different cleaner on your last day, and it would suck if the person who cleaned your room all week didn't get part of the tip). 2289 days ago
Just wanted to tell you that you don't need to start eating red meat (as suggest) to get your protein up. I haven't had any red meat in 10 yrs and i don't miss it. Plus, vegetarians are healthier anyway.
I also have issues wt getting my protein up but eggs, yogurt and cheese really help. I also love beans (particularly Greek Beans salad). Check out the recipes in my Vegetarian Cookbook if you want to 2577 days ago
