New Beginnings

Hi! I am Anjie. Hard working, devoted mother of 3 adult children and 3 beautiful Grandsons. I have spent my entire life taking care of others and commonly not taking very good care of myself. The kids are grown and now I am on my own so it is time for me to take care of me. I am here to learn a healthier way of life with good food, fun times and the best exercises. I am open to all suggestions and awesome tips on how to stay motivated and energized and happy to share some of my own.

My Goals:
Through the last 5 years I have lost about 40+ lbs. but every day is a struggle to keep it off. I lost 49 lbs. on Weight Watchers in the beginning, but have fluctuated up and down until this spring I had finally gained 27 of the 49 back. Feeling run down and tired again I decided to get serious and have been working hard to get it back off. I have lost 22 lbs. of the 27 and I am now about 15 lbs/ away from the recommended healthy weight for my size and age. My goal is to find a way to finally hit my healthy weight and keep it off and finally get into a good healthy exercise regime.

My Program:
I am following a mix of things. Weight Watchers is an awesome program but a as single Mom paying for the last childs tuition it can be a bit expensive. I found this site a few months ago and am in love with it. I track what I eat and the calories regularly. I have found that less carbs that are allowed on the Weight Watchers program and a little more protien works better for me. I keep processed foods to a minimum and fast foods are eaten only out of desperation with every attempt to pick the healthiest options when it is required.

Personal Information:
I live in the happy little town of Troy, Mo. I have a very stressful job that requires a lot of sitting so when I am off I like to move and get outside. I have a big heart, strong will, determined soul, and I love the people I love with every ounce of my being.
