I am a 28 year old college student with a family. I love music and reading and of course all types of food. I want to create a healthy body, I think I deserve it!

My Goals:
I have a "need to feel good" goal. I am using an exercise as a means to feel good, I went so long feeling so crappy that I will never go back. I am also very fearful of diabetes and due to family history I know that I need to be very careful. I hope to lose about 8 to 10 pds/month but also I don't want to obsess too much on the scale, being anal about it will not help, but it is still hard. I am almost two months in, yea!

My Program:
I go to the gym 5 days a week for 45 min. I am hoping to get down an evening routine at home especially some core stuff.

Personal Information:
I recently started working out because my energy level was so crazy, I really think I was on the verge of becoming diabetic because I was feeling really off and gross off and on throughout the day. I started working out as a last resort, just in hopes that it would help me feel better. Well it worked, I am addicted. I want to go because it feels so good to just feel good if that makes sense. I am here a spark for support in my journey.

Other Information:
I am a researcher in environmental studies. I love taking pictures and being outside. I am a wannabee gardener and botanist. I have access to a greenhouse through my job but I still feel pretty clueless! I also love to spend time with my family, they rock! Music is essential in my life, I must see Depeche Mode in concert before I die!

    I just wanted to say hello. About a year ago I attempted to settle into the groove and use Spark to help me lose weight. I didn't gain any weight this past year, but I also didn't lose :( Now I'm back! I was reading your page and realized you and I were in the same boat. I too, am hoping to find joy in working out. I have a work out buddy meeting me five days a week, as well as, a challenge buddy seeing who can work out more minutes in a week. I hope things are still going well for you! I'm sure you are busy during the summer with your beautiful children! emoticon

    If you haven't already, please join us at The Round Table, our group forum. You can introduce yourself there, as well as ask for whatever you need. Advice, motivation, tips, tricks & hints!

    Please take your time with SP, and learn about all it has to offer. Healthy loss is 1/2 to 2 pounds a week, and even if you're doing everything right and have no "real life" interruptions, it won't always be the 2 pounds that comes off. Just be patient, if you're working the program right, it will come off.
